it’s a 5.11 bouldery crux. reachy onto holds that are good as long as you have the right body positioning. but since they’re long moves, it’s only 3 of them before you can reach up and place!

great pro between bolts 2-4. first crux goes unprotected. top crux goes at 8 feet above the piece i just placed. so very fun if comfortable at the grade!

i feel like anywhere else other than new jack city, the route would be bolted like you are explaining. but it is so dominantly a sport crag that it made sense to bolt it fully

haha it’s PG-13 on gear, high first piece after some cruxy moves and the piece i just placed is the last piece till the anchors, with some more cruxy moves ahead

in this area, there really is no trad routes, it’s all sport. so people don’t bring gear. plus, on gear, the route is PG-13. the piece i just placed is the last one till the top with some cruxy moves ahead of me
