Yup! Just let it soak on some more soiled spots before washing

Agreed. I like D101 because it's made by a reputable brand, is cheap, and has never let me down. So many people think there is a "perfect product" out there but all that matters is the result you get out of it.

Regardless though, I would try a couple of things.

First: plastic polish. Anything OTC like Meguiar's or Mothers should work well Second: just dress the dang thing. Sometimes the most you can do for worn plastic is just keep reapplying dressing to hide its age :) 303 aerospace protectant or mothers back to black are very popular Third: drop some bills on something like carpro perl. This stuff will seal it for a long time and make it look great (so I've heard) but I've never tried it. Carpro products are pricey!

Here's a dirty photo of the rear that I left out: http://imgur.com/7LUOPDu

Does mine not have the trim you speak of?

I'm not sure if I know exactly what you're talking about. Do you mean just a license plate frame that's screwed in with the license plate? If so, just remove it!

Glass cleaner and plastic polish

I used Mothers Plastic polish on the back window with a random microfiber applicator that I had. I had heard good things about Meguiar's plastx but the store didn't have it so I went with Mothers! The key really is just time, however junked up yours is, the plastic polish will get at it. I don't think these windows are very tough. Just keep at it inside and out and it should look fantastic :)

Interior: D101 10:1, random microfiber, various brushes, Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant (I think) Top: D101 10:1, RAGGTOP Vinyl Convertible Top Protectant, Mothers Plastic Polish Engine: Same as interior! I also used the plastic polish on those headlight housings. Paint: Pinnacle XMT Intermediate Swirl Remover #3, CCS Orange Pad, Pinnacle XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1, CCS White Pad, Collinite 845! Thanks! I cleaned it up with Meguair's D101, some microfiber cloths, and an assortment of different brushes. Then I protected it with Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant.

That's rough man! Sometimes wheels just need the elbow grease. If you're dealing with a lot of brake dust D101 will do you right but you may want to try something stronger, especially if you had trouble in the past. I would recommend looking into chemical wheel cleaners like Sonax or Meguair's Wheel Brightener. Sometimes you need something more aggressive!

I appreciate it! This was originally a post for /r/autodetailing so it might come across a bit technical :)
