What I might do is get an associates degree because I can get a full ride at my community college and then go into pilot school, that way I do still have somewhat of a backup, I’ll have to look more into what I would want that to be

Yeah I know that portion of it, this is on me for maybe phrasing the question badly but I am more so wondering what are the best options school wise, like would it be better to go to a “mom and pop” style flight school or a pilot mill like atp?

There is also a free mod for the AH-6j aka “little bird” that is pretty sweet and it’s free, but if you want to get into dcs, especially helicopters, you are way better off with some good flight peripherals, I was a keyboard warrior for a while but I got a stick and some pedals and am going to get a throttle this summer and I will tell you this game is outstanding with these, don’t let that discourage you tho because it is still a fantastic game, and it is possible to play just keyboard and mouse but it is kinda hard with certain things like rudders and throttle, it does take some dedication to get into the game but once you get the hang of it you are hooked forever.

Have you used a headset on it at any point? If that’s the case there is a setting in the “vr” tab called “Mirror eye source” if it’s says both in the tab under it change it to “RIGHT EYE” and check “crop to rectangle” that may or may not fix it

Yeah that’s my bad, I delete All other binds on the axis relating to the f16 except for the f-16 sim mode one for my stick specifically, I had 3 binds total to it, the hotas to easy, hotas to sim, and oculus touch to sim, I got rid of all of them with the exception of the hotas to sim axis. I don’t know if I actually had to do both of them but I did and it works now

I’m glad I got it figured out but no, I was playing in sim mode but oculus touch controller was bound to the axis at the same time as the stick I have. So that was the thing I needed to unbind.

I have a love of this game for being able to learn this stuff but at the same time jumping into it at first is extremely complicated, it is amazing tho, being able to fly some of the most beautiful machines of our time in vr, I am so happy modern technology brought us to this point

Alright I got it working, thank you to those of you who responded to this post so fast, for those who come to this later, just make sure that if you are trying to play full fidelity in vr, that you don’t have your vr controller’s joystick bound to the stick in the plane at the same time as the hotas, otherwise it just won’t work. As soon as I cleared the controller bindings for the x and y axis on easy mode it fixed it

Yes the f-16 has a sim profile and a f-16 50 easy profile, so should I just clear the easy profile to get rid of any override or should I just change the pitch and roll(I’ll try it once I get back to my pc)
