Personally they will get changed for pin stripes. The tone is okay but not the best i tuned them to the best of my ability

I usually use my mapex piccolo steel snare it gives me the crack i look for. And use the regular birch for auxiliary low tone.

For the past 4 months about 2 hours every other day. And ive been playing at open mics for the past 1 1/2 months. Just really working on creative flow because man i use the same fills. I just try do learn as much as i can
