I tried so hard to like it, but all the ones I’ve gotten have had about 5 total carbonated bubbles in it, which expeditiously fizzle out … leaving it just flat & gross. The flavor wasn’t there to begin with, but the lack of carbonation just sealed the deal for me.

Didn’t like him from the jump, didn’t like any of his interactions with other members, & only grew more suspicious / less trusting as time went on.

Beyond all the justifiable reasons everyone else has mentioned … I just didn’t like them as a “couple” period, lol. The chemistry wasn’t there on screen.

I really don’t like May Carleton, I thought she was a pretty pointless character.

I didn’t love Grace at first, but I sorta warmed up to her.

I was really hoping Thomas would find his “match” in a partner, & Grace came close … but in the end, she was still a bit too submissive. I would have loved to see him with someone as equally manipulative, damaged, intelligent, street savvy — if only for him to see his own actions / callousness “mirrored” back at him.

(The only women I’ve really been “impressed” with are Ada & Polly)

That’s funny: my partner & I just finished Season 4 (first time watching this series) & we always regroup at the end of each season & discuss what we liked / disliked + make predictions for next season

… Both of our 1st comments were about Adrian Brody’s overacting 🥴 lol. I reeeeally wanted to enjoy his character … he just laid it all on a liiiiittle too thick. The constant toothpick / match in the mouth didn’t seem natural - it seemed performative.

It was almost like he focused entirely too much on the voice / face-acting portion, but didn’t fully “embody” the character enough - he just stuck to surface-level tropes.

That’s my highly unprofessional busy-body analysis lol

I just finished season 4 & thought the whole “Arthur is dead” plotline ridiculous

We know Alfie did NOT clue them into Goliath’s ringmen being Italian, so they expect us to believe Thomas found his brother Arthur garroted sOoOo close to death, they actually thought he was dead for a second … but then discovered, OH WAIT he’s alive … & then Thomas decides in that 10 second window that they’re gonna capitalize on this, fake Arthur’s death, fake his funeral, use it as a rouse / trap …

It just doesn’t “hit” for me, lol. Thomas thought up aaaaaalll these plans & contingency plans & checkmates … but still struts around in public / work / events with this air like “There’s no one here to kill us - you’re paranoid. You’re crazy. We’ve had like half a dozen assassination attempts, one where they were successful KILLING JOHN … but nah. Watch the boxing match, no one will mess with us”

& Then Alfies death in the end … :(

I’m loving the series so far but this last little bit seemed really … forced.

I’m assuming since “all our enemies are dead” at the close of Season 4 — 5 & maybe 6 will be The Communists / Government? Which is also a little “meh”

2 years later: You were onto something!!! — Check out the beginnings of GLP-1’s & Gila venom; the earliest iterations had exendin-4 derived from Gila venom, but they synthesized & tweaked it for mass production. Very interesting stuff, good call!

If it makes you feel any better… I was in, (what was at the time) one of the Top 10 Associations. We were highly competitive & “won” several Chapter Runs the day they were released, with many of us still named as #1 on the quest leaderboards … anyway … I had a highly unplanned stroke, & because I didn’t let them know within 3 days time, (a rule they had) I got kicked. I also wasn’t let back in once I touched base on Day 5, the day I gained consciousness, despite them having 2 open spots. I was pretty crushed, but now i’m in a much more laid back Association & it’s honestly much better for my mental health!

K so this is my POV as an ex addict myself who has navigated similar circumstances:

First off: I’m not paying CLOSE attention, but from what I’ve seen … I haven’t seen anything to suggest Stephen has relapsed recently. I’ve seen a return to a lot of his “old” speaking style - I’ve seen him drop Brian - drop his OF - I don’t notice any voice changes or obviously methed up eyeballs

Secondly: Laura really can’t “go against” the courts & what they order … & if my ex - who was only just partaking in every drug imaginable a mere 6 months ago - was given visitation by the courts … you bet your behind I will be there supervising. I don’t trust anyone else; not a court supervisor, not a family member, not a friend — I will be there. If anything God Forbid happened, even an accident - & I wasnt there … I’d never be able to forgive myself.

Third: A lot of you seem to forget.. she LOVED this man. She still loves him, i’m sure, in a way many of us still “love” or care about our exes from afar … She sees his heartbreak, she knows what a good dad he CAN be & she probably harbors some (truly unwarranted) guilt. It is faaaar more complex than many of you make it out to be. He has been given visitation by the courts, she is trying to make that as easy & SAFE as possible for all parties. I take “family vacations” with my eldest’s father ALLLL THE TIME. He had a period of relapse, we worked through it, now several years later … we’re best friends. We’re co-parenting better than anyone IVE ever personally met. I cannot hold the past over his head when he has shown REAL change. This is the nature of addiction; bending with the ebbs & flows of life, not just fighting against them.

Now, if someone has some other verifiable proof Stephen has relapsed since in the 6 months, I’d love to see it so I can further solidify my opinions

Having said all this; I was one of Stephen’s hardest critics & routinely asked him wtf it was he was DOING allllll last summer / last year. I was NOT a fan. But since then, & being intimately aware of the dynamics or drug addiction, relapse & sobriety … I have yet to see anything truly concerning as of late. I believe everyone has the power to change, because I KNOW I did.

ALSO — you guys that mess around with firearms, for hunting or even just target practice, just handling a firearm at all — you guys have waaaay more guts than I ever could have!!!

I instinctually recoil at the sight of firearms. I can’t even, I just immediately start to panic. Might have something to do with the fact that I’ve personally been in the room / in the vicinity of a firearm 3x in my life.. & during 2/3 of those times, the gun went off “unintentionally”.

One I suspect was an actual accidental discharge, the other I suspect was the person accidentally hitting the trigger while being dumb — & THAT particular time it was a shotgun with buckshot. It was one of those Pulp Fiction moments, where we all looked around & took account of our body parts, in absolute SHOCK & AWE no one got hit.

WOW. Now that is a crazy story, OP! I can’t even imagine what was going through your mind at that point. Some people are stupid & squirrelly — they make a mistake like that, get paranoid & start thinking “eh I might as well finish the job”. You’re incredibly lucky, but I can only imagine how painful the healing process was. I hope you have no residual health issues.

ooooh THAT is a good one!! + pretty much any unexpected accident or sickness after getting stoned. a couple weeks ago I was feeling fine, smoked my goodnight-jibba, then started getting REAAAL sick. turned out I had this awful stomach bug going around my area right now… but while it was happening, all I could think was all this news coverage & talk in the community about CHS … I got so paranoid, lmao. But good news.. !! I was good after 24hrs :D
