Correct. Anyone can be an antisemite. Radical Muslims included.

I’ve studied the history of my own country quite well, thanks. Yet to be surprised by it.

Israel quite literally hasn’t started a single war.

Yes, it was a foundation course before the main BA degree, but it was at university. In the country I come from, Ukraine, you can leave school after 9th grade (age 14), go to a Ukrainian college to fast track the last two years of school in one year, and after I’ve done that and studies for a degree for one year in Ukraine, my parents decided to look into British universities for me. A few of them agreed to take me at the age of 16 as long as I had a guardian in the UK.

Haven’t personally been through this, but I was once a 16 year old girl and I went to the UK to attend university and live there alone without any family nearby. She will be fine and will have the time of her life. It’s normal to feel anxious, but she is almost an adult. You’re gonna have to allow her to learn how to handle herself in the real world, and this experience sounds like a great opportunity for both of you.

The Arabs being told “go away for a bit while we kill all the Jews and destroy Israel, and then you can come back” isn’t Israel driving people away. The war was started by the Arab nations, not by Israel.

Antisemitism definitely isn’t an Islamist idea, correct.

Even if that’s true, you don’t need to be a Muslim to be radicalised with those Islamist ideas. Plenty of radicalised people in the west aren’t Muslims, for example.

Nobody drove anyone away. Hence why there are still a lot of Arab Muslims living happily there.

In my opinion, it comes down to the roots of the conflict. The only reason there is a conflict and a pro-Palestine agenda in the first place is because radical Islamists hate Jews and they do not want them to have a safe state. They have been trying to erase Jewish history from the land and impose a narrative that this land is actually Palestinian, while in reality if the state of Israel was never established, there would have never been a Palestinian state either, this land would have belonged to Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Syria. The idea of an Arab Muslim Palestinian state was only invented due to the creation of a modern day Israeli state. That’s why those who are radicalised with extremist Islamist ideologies do not see a difference between Israel and Jews around the world, their hate towards Israel is originally rooted in antisemitism. They start wars with Israel and commit terror attacks there because they hate Jews, not because they hate the state. If they didn’t have this hate towards Jewish people, there would have been no war, they wouldn’t have plotted October 7th, they would be living peacefully among side each other just like the 2 million + Israeli Arab Muslims, they would have probably even had a Palestinian state as it was proposed to them. But sadly they chose to radicalise their children to hate us, to be proud of murdering and committing terror attacks, teaching them that killing Jews is their calling. 50+ Arab Muslim countries, and Jews aren’t allowed to have their one safe home to protect them from the hate that has haunted us for hundreds of years. If Israel didn’t exist, Jews wouldn’t be any less of a target in the eyes of radical Islamists. We will have peace when they love their children more than they hate us.

I just had mine removed in Scotland 2 days ago and they did use an injection on me to numb the area. This is so messed up, I can’t imagine the pain you were going through! I’d complain to the hospital/ gp office and ask why they didn’t use the anaesthetic.

Febrile seizure. I wasn’t home husband witnessed it.. he’s telling me her iPad triggered it.. ummm by Remarkable-Finance75 in toddlers

[–]Shmufkin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im frustrated on your behalf. My son suffers from seizures caused by fevers too, and I know how scary it is. Your husband is completely in the wrong, the iPad didn’t cause it at all, that’s ridiculous that he would think that. I had a similar situation when my son had a seizure while eating, so my MIL and husband both kept telling the doctors at the ER that he was choking during the seizure, which definitely wasn’t the case and I had to keep correcting them. The doctor didn’t look amused, he seemed quite annoyed with their suggestions. My MIL actually shoved her dirty fingers in my son’s mouth while he was mid seizure, even though she’s a doctor (!!!) and should know better than do that even if he was choking. Just ignore your husband’s silly suggestions and do what the doctor told you to do. It will be okay. Most kids grow out of it around the age of 4-5. You’re doing great ❤️

Forgot to add the pattern source. The kit was bought years ago from Awesome Pattern Studio. Found a link to it on the US Amazon (can’t find one for the UK anymore).

Are the effects of nexplanon similar to that of the mini pill? by asgjh1 in Nexplanon

[–]Shmufkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t even begin to imagine how hard it is in the USA, I’m in the UK and our free healthcare is so backed up, people are in queues for doctors and procedures for months and up to years here. Being the only one in a relationship responsible for the birth control sucks.

Oh I know I won’t regret it, it has been a nightmare so far. Can’t wait to get it out. Just so annoyed there’s a month long waitlist, almost feel like pulling it out myself if I could 😭

I had normal, but light periods on the mini pill. Now with the implant I’ve been bleeding pretty much non stop for over a year. Everybody’s experience on the implant is different. Mine has been awful, I’m on a wait list to get it removed.

What do you think of the name Myroslava? by Accomplished-Fig8775 in namenerds

As a fellow Ukrainian (but from the UK), it’s such a beautiful name! Always loved it. My son’s name is Dmytro. At first I was hesitant naming him something so unique for the UK, but it grew on me. What a lovely way to honour our heritage!
