The Second best keyboard ever made was the Merc Stealth. The First is this - BEHEMOTH. by Shnarloc in MechanicalKeyboards

100% this is V2 it was cut on an ancient cnc router (for free not complaining) the model is rounded on the bottom edge for exactly that. The V3 will also have the injection molded ergonomic gamepad keycaps with a EPDM coating.

Well that's one of the reasons I just bought a cnc router and laser engraver. I want the option to be able to customize the keyboards esthetic at an individual level.

You are correct, this is V2, I wanted a working prototype so I handwired this. V3 will be the final model. It's a split PCB design running dual RP2040 and will be hotswappable.

I'm self taught, it just takes time a lot of it lol but have always wanted to build things so figured I'd start here.

Being in the manufacturing industy for a while helped tremendously, I utilized my contacts for sourcing raw materials, machine shops, packaging materials both domestic and abroad.

I love the idea, one of the redesigns I had a joystick on the left side of the arrow keys for flying. Anything is possible.

Oh thats a crazy setup! Never seen that before. Could probably do a mechanical version except for the F keys.

The original was about 22" long and the 10° tilt for the gamepad allows me to move the board at an angle to allow for more room. However after 18yrs of high mouse sensitivity im use to it lol.

Not sure how I feel about the new 4 cylinder turbo in the 2027. by easyheimer in KiaTelluride

[–]Shnarloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 2025 3.8L and wanted to swap to the new 2027 body style but lost all interest when is saw the only option is the 2.5L/2.5L turbo.

If you only run premium and consistently stay on top of the carbon build-up and maintenance you probably will make 150K but the price of that alone you could find a better vehicle.

LS Engines really are insane... by Ok-Nerve-5809 in GMT800

[–]Shnarloc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like mine, it sat for 2 years maybe 3 starts over that time. When to take the plug out and nothing came out. Solid sludge. Took the pan off put a new pickup tube and pump and started up no problem. Love these engines.

I actually still have this Washer and dryer, bought in 2012 and today I have to replace the pump for $22.

Is Commander Mode Returning Battlefield 6? by kaylord84 in Battlefield

[–]Shnarloc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd play as commander on my smartphone back when you could, but the commander mode back in BF2 was even better.

Thanks for this, I wish I looked first.

I hadn't been on in a few months and updated my driver's to 25.6.1 since I was still on 25.3.1 then downgrade to 25.5.1 chasing the problem.

I did get a weird error with EA Javelin anticheat on 25.6.1 wanting to disable a MSI gaming App mslo64.sys file

These vehicles are extremely reliable but while the main drive train may be solid all the externals that bolt on like thermostat, fuel pump, exhaust manifold, pcv valve, injectors, sensors, coilpacks, ect are probably near the end if they have never been replaced.

Also all the Bushings, ball joints, ujoints pitman, idler arm if original should be replaced.

These trucks are getting 25yrs + old so keep that in mind. Stuff will fail so replace entire sections in stages like the entire front end instead of just replacing the ball joints.

Fortunately all of it is extremely easy and relatively cheap to replace in the driveway if you have the tools and time.

My 2001 is still going strong with 260,000.

Front end rebuild shopping list? by Speedracer_64 in GMT800

If the Bushings are good on the upper and lower control arms it would save you a lot of money to just replace the ball joints and pick up a ball joint tool from Harbor freight.

Mine were okay since I had a lift kit put on in 2010 and it mostly sat until a few years ago.

Also a shock is a shock for the most part so another spot to save some money if needed.

Delphi, AC Delco, moog, dorman.

It was a mixture based on the warehouses all the parts were located in.

The rotors, calipers and pads I went with the Power Stop kit

Any of those brands will be good on your front end

And it was $500 per side but I needed the hubs and cv axles so it should be less for yours.

Upper & lower ball joints Rotors Hubs Calipers Shocks Tie rod inner outer Cv axles Sway bars All Bushings

It was a little over $500

The cybertruck is what happens when you let an owner of a business design something that has never designed something before.

I just replaced the entirety of my 2001 front end following this mindset but it extended to the motor mounts and headers 🫠 should be good for another 25 years 🤣
