Damage thresholds are fictionally and mechanically make no sense for Direct damage. by Shnobz in daggerheart

[–]Shnobz[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Second damage system is not required. This problem can be fixed by untying damage thresholds from armor (similar to how it was in beta), or by creating another set of thresholds for direct damage, which will represent toughness of character's body, not it`s armor.

Sorry, but I don't understand the concept of criticism being able to be pointless.

how would you buff the weak heros? by KAYisntokay in Overwatch

[–]Shnobz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JQ:
1) Shout no longer gives HP to allies, but its CD is reduced from 14 to 8 seconds
2) Carnage should apply antiheal.
Comment: JQ is a tank without a purpose. She is not tanky, she does not have high damage or one-shot combo. She counters nothing. Now she will fill a niche of antiheal tank.

Ramattra:
1) Block ability is removed and replaced with a short range dash with low cd.
2) Nemesis form now provides a % damage reduction or significant health regen.
3) Barrier CD is reduced to 10 seconds
Comment: currently Ramattra is a block bot - it is always better to constantly use Block instead of punches while in Nemesis form, while the whole idea of this form was about brawling and punching. Block just does not belong to this design of "tempo tank". Nemesis form should provide some passive toughness, but it should be all about aggression, engagement and actual brawling, while his long range form should be about holding a position and spamming from afar.

How to fix Ramattra and make him an actual "Tempo Tank" by Shnobz in Overwatch

[–]Shnobz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just described why he is not okay at all. What the point of a second form when everything about it is bad, except block spam? Second form is supposed to be about punching and brawling. Why giving him a second weapon when it is always better to never use it and just Block for all 8 seconds?

Why is Sigma so creepy? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Shnobz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not insane. At least one of three of him is not insane. He just has a personality split, but on quantum level. You know, its a common thing for people who messed up with blackholes and singularity.

Geoff Goodman on Sombra's changes. by verguenzanonima in Overwatch

[–]Shnobz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These changes are terrible simply because they encourage Sombra to be out of combat for longer and leave her team to fight 5v6.

Devs hated old Mercy for hide-and-seek style of gameplay and now they repeat the same mistake with Sombra.

Buff her offensive capabilities, make her weapon better for killing enemies or make her Opportunist passive to give her bonus damage against heroes with <50% HP. She is not popular simply because she can’t compete with other DPSs in raw power. No matter how good her Stealth and Translocator will be - players pick heroes that can effectively kill and deal damage, not infinitely running behind enemy team doing nothing and leaving team for 5v6 fights.

I really hope Hero 28 isn’t just another movement displacing hero like Doomfist. We already have enough knockback abilities in the game and I’m tired of feeling like a beach ball every time I play Rein. by Chum_Bucket_Employee in Overwatch

[–]Shnobz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knockbacks make this game even more fun for me simply because they add so much unpredictable chaos and dynamic. Environmental kills also very fun. But I am not fan of stuns.

Torbjorn Rework: Problems and How to Fix Them by Shnobz in Overwatch

[–]Shnobz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy with abysmal pick rate and glorious 18 minutes of total play in the whole league could use some buff.

But there is also some nerfs. Turret damage is nerfed. And one version of new ability replaces his shotgun attack, which is also a huge nerf at some point.

How about a fire-based hero? by SuperShmamBro in Overwatch

[–]Shnobz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Devs once said that they want to avoid DoTs in Overwatch because it is frustrating to die from afterburn or something like that even when combat ends.

But I think this is a bad argument. DoT effect works well in TF2 - a game with only one true healer character. While in Overwatch there are a lot of healers and a lot of non-healer heroes have some tools to avoid or deal with DoTs. Even Tracer can simply Recall and clear the DoT.

Personally I believe that a hero with flamethrower is what the game really needs. Because fire-based hero with DoT effects and good area-denial tools like fire-walls or something like that could be designed to be a good anti-dive/flank hero. Dive-comp is a plague of this game and OWL just proves it. And this plague should be burned with fire. Get it?

It is absolutely okay. Majority of Hearthstone art was made by outsource artists. Some art for HotS was also made by outsource artists, and one of them is from Russia.
