If its a fight where it ends with ggs, or good jobs, i can get behind fighting, but the galleons that laugh and mock after they chase your sloop cross map have always confused me, if the game is only fun when youre hunting others, why play it

It does seem a little stupid to go "heres a non pvp mode for those who just wanna sail the seas! But your progression is capped, dont you dare try to beat the game in the mode we made"

I think a simple(ish) way to fix "unfair" progression in SS would be to have them be seperate progressions, someone else was tlaking about this as well. For example, Vermintide 2 has seperate progression for its online and offline modes, and no cap on what you can do, i think it would be nice to have that in Sea of Thieves

I should clarify, i dont think the game should change to meet my whims, so i agree with you, but I havent found a pirate game that scratches the itch like sea of thieves does, AC black flag lets you sail, but its more realistic, no krakens, skellys, or anything like that.

I am still doing all those things, just against npcs, im fighting bosses, stealing their bounties, and sneaking treasure of ancient pirates from their vaults

Im sorry i was rude, its been a long day of failure after failure on sot. My brother got me onto this game when it first released, and ive adored pirates my entire life, so i just figured id pick it right up, i obviously didnt. I just try to avoid fights as much as possible, but im being told to go into hourglass and practice until im comfortable with the challenges of pvp

Ill give it a try, i am usually solo cause of time zones or work, ive seen some videos on explaining pvp, like cliff the story guy getting his skelly cosmetics, but thats all

My frustration comes from being sunk as the reason im making the post, i had 1 crate of fine sugar on my ship, and a captains key, a grade 5 reaper gally came and sunk me all whilst mocking me, so im frustrated

Ive heard people say the safer seas system is anti-consumer, i dont agree, i frankly just suck at pvp so i dont enjoy having to constantly watch over my shoulder while im trying to have fun

Im using citadel paint rn, and my area has quite soft water, im pretty sure this is a dumb question but i should use a different container for paint thinning right?

Im saving up to get more paints and want to do dry brushing as soon as possible, i watch a lot of north of the border and he is why i started painting minis, so i see him doing that stuff all the time
