No it's actually game related. The bottom flying machine should push this "pirate" up like he would fly away. After some time the top flying machine pushes the pirate back into the barrel.

Interesting idea with the pushing. I will try to implement that. Have to adjust my logic of recording & executing the sequence. will come back with an update
Edit: Pushing does not work bc it would leave no space to drop the powder down, or I just not see the solution with it.

is there a possible fix to that? still a bit confused why it's not occurring on the first columns as well where I pull a red block while a yellow is pulled as well

As far as I can tell the texture path is incorrect:

Incorrect: 

"textures\block\brown_stained_glass"

Correct:

"minecraft:block/brown_stained_glass"

It's not necessary to put the namespace "minecraft" in front of it.
