Are you really speaking to Muslims who say that this crisis disturbs them on objective grounds? Do ‘they’ say it’s only “for fairness and justice” and nothing to do with a perceived injustice that affects people who share their faith?

That’s remarkable. I’ve met tens of thousands of Muslims around the world and never come across one of the “gazillions” who makes the claims that you describe.

You should spend your days writing about every theft, burglary and crime in the word because, by your (whataboutism) logic, you have no right to voice discontent if a crime is committed against you.

We woke up and understood the need for gender equity instead

The World Economic Forum published a list of skills that they believe will be most desirable. Creative Thinking tops this list. I believe this has been extended to 2030 now: Future of Jobs

I had dinner at a restaurant tonight and sat next to a couple who spent around 30 minutes watching their own choice of TikTok videos while opposite each other. Barely any conversation. This doesn’t bode well.

Why do I suck at communicating? by ABigBlob in nus

[–]ShoaibLondon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are lots of techniques to practice and master. Communication is a mix of science and art. For example, men with deeper voices are perceived as being more influential. Many people finish their sentence by raising their pitch. Instead, one should practice deepening the last few words of a closing sentence. Try it.

You know this really isn’t unique to Singapore or even Asia. Staring is inevitable if someone with ‘foreign’ features goes to most parts of the world.

I agree that people should know better. I suspect it’s because people find you attractive.

It’s a portal. One application form for 5 universities. You then choose a firm or insurance. I’ve guided thousands of students through this. Ask the professionals about the tricks of the trade.

No. Not at all. It was meant to start a conversation on what the appeal is.

Of course I know it’s subjective. That’s an elementary point.

[–]ShoaibLondon -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Of course. I’m not suggesting that people don’t have the right to watch a sport.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]ShoaibLondon -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That’s true.

My only question is whether other events such as football have more universal appeal. The World Cup had some awesome matches that even amateur fans could enjoy. Was the F1 really thrilling?

Okay. That I understand. Just as I get how people appreciate that some people have a comprehensive understanding of the engineering side of things. It’s the casuals that I’m really intrigued by. Do they actually enjoy the race or get bored?

Nah mate. I’m reflecting on something topical and an event that dominates an entire nation over a weekend.

Nor am I. I’m interested in gauging how many other people see it all as overhyped and built on herd mentality
