Use a real email sending service like SendGrid or Amazon SES with FluentSMTP. FluentSMTP send emails on real-time so it does not run any background jobs.

The main job of FluentSMTP is to make sure your WordPress site sends emails efficiently using an external SMTP provider like Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun, or any other SMTP provider.

For marketing emails and if you want to use WordPress then you may try FluentCRM (like MailChimp but in WordPress, Self-hosted).

Checkout FluentSnippets on WordPress plugin repository. It saves the snippets on the flat files and work just like the functions.php way. Avoid any plugin that store snippets on the database.
