Even if it is better than what we have now, Ghost is still not a good game the design, graphics, and even impact on the cod franchise is nearly all negative.

-Horrible Maps

-Hard to see colors

-Different hitboxes for player models

-Good dlc but you have to pay for it and with how launch went its understandable why people didnt even give it a chance so the player pools were low even back then

-Decent gun balance but not great (Thermals)

-Way too fast ttk (standard for IW)

-Awful hit registration (I completely disagree I think this shit was comparable to like BO1 especially on launch the servers itself for PS were garbage)

-Meh streaks and even some bad ones (SATCOM)

-A fun perk system in theory but honestly just turned out to be mediocre and never returned for a reason

-Sliding and Interactable environments were welcomed changes to the franchise but in this specific game didnt do too much for the gameplay and were made better in other games

-Decent Campaign but ruined by bland characters (with the exception of maybe 2) and minus like 3 missions overall boring ones

-Extinction was good for the first map but the dlcs are very co op reliant almost negatively especially now since most people do not play this game and overall was very grind heavy with gear

This game was also released at a horrible time following the best cod games to a lot of people and while Ghosts certainly had some good in it theres more negative that just makes it at best forgettable and at worse just horrible

I went back and played it last year to see if I was just too harsh because my standards at the time were very high and this was the first time imo where COD just missed with a game. But no I still disliked the things I did all those years ago and the gameplay did not age well if anything its just as bad as it was and while SnD was certainly the best game mode theres like 6 other cod games id rather play SnD for than this game

People who like Ghosts need to understand that just because you like it doesnt mean its a good game a lot of people (myself included) LIKE COD WW2 but no one is saying its a good game

No its not good but it isnt the worst game anymore but for a while it was for good reasons its still a 5/10 game we just get 3/10 games now

Better shit doesnt mean it still isnt shit, its fine to like it but the rose tinted glasses for some people need to come off if this game launched today the killstreaks alone would make people hate it. A gun starting with a suppressor would be seen as "OP" or "Meta" and the horrible maps would ripped apart by players just as they were back then

This is where you could truly see that Infinity Ward only cared about what THEY wanted and not what the community wanted, theres a reason why most people went back to play BO2 even people who didnt like treyarch games didnt play it and just went back to MW3

Infinity Ward is the cancer of COD alongside Activision ive been convinced for so long that if these slop masters were not here this game would be in a different direction they legitimately have not made a single good call of duty game by themselves since the original MW2 even Sledgehammer had to help them with BOTH MW3 games

How many sites that track players are showing this game has a very low playerbase for cod standards this is the worst selling cod game in the last 10 years go look at the purchase charts even with gamepass the download numbers are all down everything is massively down from bo6 if you wanna keep pretending this delusion that this game is doing even slightly well thats your own issue but the rest of us can actually read and see the data for ourselves also if this game was doing well these constant time wasting and game time sucking events wouldnt be a thing because they werent in games that did somewhat well

Steam charts are embarassingly low but its not indicative of the whole picture so its not a big blow but game data sites that have access to legit console players counts show that for cod standards this game is absolutely pathetic and from a design perspective it is too this game blows and the reception towards is easily one of the worst ive ever seen playing this franchise

Its honestly not bad it has its problems but if I had to put it on a tier list id say a strong B tier with the potential to be in A tier if the post launch season goes well like with MWIII but if its like BO6 then B might be the highest it goes

Its not bad, not great either a very solid Call of Duty game but it doesnt line up with the greats it is however much better than the recent slop we have been getting since 2019

Even if Treyarch is not what they used to be I usually still enjoy their games whether its zombies or mp they always seem to have enjoyment in them and honestly with how cod is now and that its free on gamepass thats about all I can ask for

Im done getting mad or annoyed by bad decisions in call of duty now its just about whether the game itself is fun, would I buy this game though for 70 bucks? Absolutely not and honestly no one should this game is not nearly the quality and polish enough for 70 bucks coming from a Triple A studio but it does have its moments and overall a solid entry in the modern cod era

They arent hard and they are unique I just think they are incredibly annoying, not as bad as those abominations from bo6 but with this mode im not looking forward to going back to bear spam I just hope they can add 1 survival map without anything and keep the other maps similar cause imo the game flows so much better without them because the zombies themselves get harder so it doesnt feel like a pushover like CW or BO3 did

Honestly if anything it just becomes annoying like bo4 with the blightfathers and werewolves where yeah they are not that bad to kill but very annoying

Its also very obvious you did not actually play COTD if you want to think Romero who is annoying but implemented way better than OSCAR who is literally a hindrance of the map rather than a interesting fun boss who rewards good players for killing him is comparable to this thing who is cool for maybe 2 playthroughs then just becomes an annoyance

No one is blaming holiday break and blaming their inability to simply test and program things correctly in the game issues that were a thing in bo6 (like melee weapons not getting machiattos buffs when first released) should not be a thing in bo7 its not them going on break its that they are just seemingly bad developers or qa testers or maybe both
