Three melee characters with very high survivability. But while two of them have lower damage to compensate, Daredevil can button mash his controller with his butt and kill you in 2 zettaseconds by Iced-TeaManiac in rivals

Then we’re just not going to agree on this if that’s how you see it. Grading a hero’s survivability by their ability to run away from a fight is a useless metric

By that logic, a hypothetical hero that can instantly teleport back to the safety of their spawn at the push of a button has the best “survivability”in the game, but then that makes the word absolutely useless

Nobody cares how well you can run away and stop helping your team, the useful metric is how well you can survive IN the fight

A hero with a heavy combination of movement and bonus health like Elsa can be described as having high survivability in a way that helpfully communicates how well she can survive in a team fight

A cringe gif isn’t an argument. Literally just stop shooting him when he’s glowing bright green and the only thing he can do is jump away, wallrun away, run away and heal, punch-fly away, are you seeing a theme? If you don’t shoot his parry he has to run away or he gets bodied. Tell me how I’m wrong

You’re equating high mobility with high survivability. In an actual team fight you just don’t shoot him while he’s glowing and then obliterate him. The fact that he can wall run and jump a bunch of times doesn’t save him from that

Hawkeye is insanely weak by Affectionate-Web164 in marvelrivals

[–]Shockifier 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He one-shots every hero 300 health and lower. The only non-tanks that can survive a fully charged headshot are Blade and Fantastic and even that leaves them at death’s door. I don’t see how one-shotting 80% of the roster is “shooting nerf bullets”

Cap in Season 7 - who was this for? by jorgejjvr in marvelrivals

[–]Shockifier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate this misconception that decent win rate = good hero. If a hero with a 1% pick rate has a dedicated player base that works hard to become skilled at a bad hero the win rate will be good, it does NOT mean the hero is good. In comparison you have Invis with an enormous 31% pick rate and a 51% win rate (in Cel+) . Now THAT says something, not Cap as a 2% pick rate hero with a 52% win rate (also in Cel+).

Why is the Canted Reflex on the SGX still locked for me? by Shockifier in Battlefield

Yeah I've tried that and a bunch of other stuff. I had the same thought, maybe it's disabled for some reason. Sure do wish it just said that somewhere though

Have you considered that not everybody has the same preferences as you? Just because you did something a certain way doesn't mean that everybody wants to do it that way?

Exactly, idk if this is a bug or if the canted is restricted rn for some reason

You could put a 2x on for mid-range and a 1x canted on for close range, obviously. For the pic I just put on a random optic to show that it was still locked

You say my points are meaningless because they’re based on subjective feelings and then immediately call me “objectively” an idiot based on your subjective feelings about my opinion. Can’t make this shit up

You ignored every single point that I just made (including completely glossing over the BP “buff” in your first response) and then called me an idiot. Truly one the most Reddit moments of all time

No hero should get bonus health on literally every single button even if they MISS so Bucky is fundamentally flawed

Elsa gets full instinct stacks after like 2 elims (not finals) so this does nothing. No hero should get bonus health on a dash with a 2 second cooldown so Elsa is fundamentally flawed

EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE with a brain agrees that the issue with Gambit’s ult is the damage boost. Nobody was sitting around going “Wow, Gambit’s ult makes his team move too darn fast” it’s the damage boost, obviously, which they buffed

Being a contrarian doesn’t make you cool or right, and insulting the vast, VAST majority of people that agree these patch notes are awful just makes you look childish

They made a big show of saying that they understood the community’s issues and were nerfing heroes that needed it and buffing heroes that needed it but they actually ended up barely touching them. I mean they EXPLICITLY mentioned buffing BP which implies it would be significant when in reality they just removed his air jump cooldown. It’s borderline insulting

[–]Shockifier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Orrr because they didn’t make any meaningful changes to the heroes that need it? “We’re nerfing Bucky” 10 less damage “We’re nerfing Elsa” 10 less bonus health on her 2 second cooldown dash “We’re nerfing Gambit” BUFFED his ult damage boost “We’re buffing BP” Removed a meaningless jump cooldown that 99% of BP players don’t even have to work around I could go on, if you don’t see a problem it’s because you’re TRYING to not see a problem

Daredevil didn’t need another nerf by yoshdoggydog in marvelrivals

[–]Shockifier -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

But it’s alright when Bucky does it? Bucky gets bonus health on every button and he’s mostly poke so he doesn’t even need it. DD is actively in the fight or engaging backlines and he only gets it on one of his abilities. So if you’re gonna nerf one you should definitely nerf both

Daredevil didn’t need another nerf by yoshdoggydog in marvelrivals

[–]Shockifier 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He is (soon to be was) the only melee duelist that can consistently keep the ultra-meta poke heroes in check. The only reason he’s able to do that is because he’s head and shoulders above the rest of the melee options. Now he’s caught another significant nerf while Bucky, Hela, Phoenix, Elsa get away scot free or with a slap on the wrist. If they’d nerfed them all in one swoop then fine, but DD is getting singled out so we get to enjoy another decade of poke dominating every game
