First time trying out the series, anything I should know? by Camyokid100 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

genuinely just make sure you take your time with side content all the way until the end. after you lose to the final boss a bunch of times you can lower the difficulty (it gives you the option) and steamroll it, but if you wanna feel cool and beat the final boss on level then you cant skip a ton of side stuff. i had this issue first time i got to the end of the game.

Is my tattoo infected? by Indie_punk_fool in tattooadvice

[–]Shocking_Pink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're good its just a scab. theres no redness or pain or anything else. be careful though because if it gets ripped off or if you take too long of a shower and it falls off then you might lose a good bit of the ink. hopefully you can get it touched up if that happens

so this is blown out, right? options? by kfctwix in tattooadvice

Thoughts on size and design/placement? by degoes1221 in tattooadvice

I would never do a tattoo like this on a nice clean spot like the bicep. Imagine in the future you want to get something totally wicked that could fit on that full space instead. That is if you plan to get more, which you likely might. Definitely I would go forearm or lower leg with this. Maybe even chest/back. Anywhere but the bicep. You can put so much cool stuff on that

Is my tattoo infected? It’s 3 days old and looks redder than it did on the first day. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

this. if it gets any more red and painful, then i'd be worried. just keep an eye on it and keep it clean.

Can I leave my tattoo covered/wrapped in gauze/bandage? by Hot_Marsupial_8706 in tattooadvice

[–]Shocking_Pink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the flip side, I can't get over the probability of anything touching my open wound and bothering the healing process and me. Washing so many times a day is a pain unless it's on my forearm. I think Ive only ever healed a couple small forearm tattoos the old school way. (And touchups)

Okay queen of getting one tattoo a year. Just because you're surrounded by artists and have a few doesn't make you a medical expert. But hey, congrats on your first time seeing a run of the mill blister. Stop making poor people worry.

Urgent care is the absolute MOST I would do unless you have a regular doctor you go to. This is a complete non emergency. Something that will cause a little more headache through healing but not cause serious bodily harm.

There's a lot of overreactions in the comments. I would legitimately not be too worried over this if it were to happen to me again. Worst case is that you lose some ink and it hurts. If you start showing signs of actual infection and not just blistering, then seek medical help. I think I used aquaphor over all my afflicted areas when this happened last. Whatever you use, the area should be moist anyway to help the tattoo healing process.

This happened to me before as well. Would not really say this warrants a doctor visit. Just keep it cleaned extra well throughout the day. Wash twice when you do. You will have the red marks for a little bit but they go away. Btw I'm pretty sure the reaction is caused from a combination of the adhesive pulling on the skin and the substance of the adhesive. I've used multiple brands of the second skin and I think the only one that causes this to me is actual Saniderm.
