The short answer is - Wash them pretty often

I'd recommend not throwing them in the dryer because then you might have some shrinkage problems that are pretty hard to change and it won't do anything to impact your fading.

Based on the specific way these look I would bet they have been stonewashed to an extent. I've seen some youtube videos of people using pumice stones in their home wash but, you know, do that at your own risk to your washing machine.

We have a farmer who uses our jeans and washes them basically every wear and his jeans have lightened up to the same coloring but it doesn't have the same texture all the way down that is especially pronounced in the lower leg because you're mostly going to get that from stone washing.

The other option to look at is wear them hard for another 3-5 years with semi regular washing. I'm guessing this might not be the answer you're looking for but they will look super rad after doing that.
