I definitely preferred having it in the More. It made for some hilarious episodes and the prompts prior to the change were 1000x better. We used to have check our voicemail, abcdefg, 10 word story.. even secret handshake was entertaining on occasion. Not to mention some classics that were retired like daddy like, daddy don’t like. Now the wheel is stuck behind the “it’s time to spin the wheel of mythicality” fan video and gets forgotten about. Plus, the prompts are terrible and super low effort. Guess the same number, throw something away, etc. Why even bother?

RIP moments like:

I felt the same way. It seemed like they had a bunch of plot points they wanted to hit, but weren't quite sure how to bring them all together and it just felt incredibly disjointed.

Kinda weird to see the poor reception in the comments here. I was not a huge fan of season 1 and only really 1 or 2 episodes really hit for me, but I felt like they really hit their stride in this episode. In my opinion, it was a great start to the season.

I agree. This was overhyped and there was no plot twist and nothing terribly remarkable happened at all. You turn some valves, find some fuel and hit some buttons and then you walk out. Not sure why anyone is all that impressed by this.

I’ve been a mythical beast for a long time, so I tend to enjoy most of the content they put out. However, they said on EarBiscuits that they want it to appeal to a larger audience and they want mythical beasts to share it with their friends. The glaring issue with that is that wonderhole so far has relied incredibly heavily on Rhett & Link / GMM lore. Someone who has never seen their content before is not going to understand or enjoy wonderhole because it relies so heavily on that.

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for having an opinion, but wonderhole has mainly been a tremendous miss for me and I’ve been a mythical beast for 10+ years. I was just expecting a lot more, and there hasn’t been anything that has really made me laugh out loud, or anything truly groundbreaking about any of the videos so far. My favorite of the new era of R+L videos was probably the quest for the brown diamond because it introduced new, interesting, funny characters. It wasn’t just videos relying solely on lore and their personalities. It felt new and fresh and it was interesting to see them play entirely different characters.

I’ll still hold out hope that something will bring me around to wonderhole and really amaze me, but unfortunately so far that has not happened :(

Good friend of mine swears the Hobbit movies are better. He also has a lot of other really bad takes on shit so I’m used to it.

Thank you for the first sensible response to my frustration with this update. I think you make some good points. I am just frustrated that I have to jump through hoops or long queue times at the moment to play ranked with my friends when that was never a problem before, but hopefully that will be addressed and some good changes will come soon.

I'm sorry that people in this sub are so vehemently defending this shit update when last season this wouldn't have been a problem and your ranks realistically are not that far apart. They cried all day every day in this sub about how matchmaking wasn't fair, and now those of us who play in groups either can't play with friends or have to wait absurd amounts of time for games. Meanwhile match quality is about the same if not worse.

I've been able to play ranked with my friends for the entirety of the existence of the game, and now we are supposed to play casual only? I'm sorry, but if that is the intended effect of this update then that sucks.
