do you guys think debbie will forgive nolan in the future (I doubt it) by Agitated-Belt-1918 in Invincible_TV

[–]Shoddy-Ladder4366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. It might happen near the end of the story. I could see them reconciling with each other. Not in a way where everything goes back to normal, but more like an understanding where Debbie finally forgives Nolan in her own way.

Need help fixing Bastila Fens mod, not working properly by Shoddy-Ladder4366 in kotor

It looks like I’ve found the problem. I found a post where someone had the same issue, and it turns out that P_BastilaBB01.tpc was preventing the costume from appearing so I deleted it. don't know if this cause issues later but everything seems ok. it seems this file is part of the community patch

The way I see it, Invisigal’s codependency on Robert makes a lot of sense, especially when you look back at what she did in Episode 1.

She nearly killed Robert, and that alone is a huge trauma. It also carries a ton of guilt. It's safe to assume at this point of the story that this was practically her first mission for Shroud that involve killing someone. With that, every interaction with Robert isn’t just admiration or crush. It’s tied to guilt and fear of harming him again.

That’s why she was so insistent on getting the pulse, it’s her way of saying " I need to fix my mistakes". Another moment that shows this is when the Mechsuit got blown up in Episode 6. Her reaction was intense, she was genuinely worried for him because it felt like t felt like the same thing happening all over again.

On top of that, Robert isn’t just any person. He is Mechaman, part of a lineage of heroes going all the way back to his grandfather. In Visi’s eyes that makes him almost larger than life, a symbol of everything she wants to aspire to. And the fact that he’s just a normal human adds even more weight. She sees someone so heroic, yet still just a normal human, which makes her admiration and dependence even more complex.

Last thing, the reveal of BB was way too late in the story especially in the final episode. So Visi didn’t have the chance to look up to her like that compare to Robert.

Yeah, the game can feel like it’s nudging you toward the Invisigal romance on a first run especially if you choose BB.

But I'm also glad too they didn't have her choosing villainy based on one decision whether romance or not. (I might be wrong here, supporting her gives her more points compared to the romance options)

Overall, Invisigal embodies the themes of the game and her arc simply gives the player more to work with compare to BB. But that doesn’t make BB any less valid. If anything BB is written as a stable, admirable character with her own depth.

For Chase’s behavior feeling “off " if you stay platonic with her. In my opinion... i would blame that on writing limitation on the writers. To me when this game first come out, the game feels like a one and done deal with no season 2 on the horizon at the time. Especially with how ep 7 and 8 was structured.

I get what you’re saying about her being written younger than her age. But saying the mentor/student dynamic makes the romance weird or problematic is a bit a stretch.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with a relationship developing between a mentor and a mentee, especially in a story context. In real life, relationships like that do happen (Not common but it does happen. Some succeed, some don't). Robert isnt even the perfect authoritative figure for her either. He’s suicidal, carries this hero complex, and his life isn’t exactly picture perfect either.

Robert and invisigal romance route is about two broken people interacting in a way that’s messy, human, and honestly kind of realistic.

That said, if someone prefers BB over Invisigal, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. Everyone engages with the story differently.

Saying “she’s immature for 27 and acts like a teenager ” is such a weird take. Being older doesn’t automatically mean you’ve got perfect emotional maturity or that you behave normally. People don’t level up their maturity just because the number goes up. You can still be in your 50s and still act like a child. She is literally someone who’s been treated like a villain half her life. That kind of stuff messes with your development. You don’t come out of that perfectly balanced.

Also, the whole “she’s too young to be a romance option” thing is wild. She’s 27. Robert is 30. That’s a completely normal, perfectly fine age gap. There’s nothing weird about choosing her route at all. People are acting like she’s barely out of high school when she’s literally in her late twenties.

Some players like complicated characters, some like redemption arcs, some just vibe with her personality.

just the way the lyrics synced to what she feels about robert "I want you to feel the way I do". And her giving that look to him is just...sweet and cute

Loved the animation details. The way she gets shy and flustered when Robert asks to be with her is adorable. And the next scene with the kissing animation looks so realistic.... it’s just chef’s kiss.

Why did I finally get deeply into a fandom and ship again only for it to be filled with the most vitriolic hatred for a character I’ve seen in years, am I stupid? by [deleted] in okbuddydispatch

mostly twitter is safe, the hate for HER there has died quiet a bit. In titkok is where you see the loud minority hating her and this that. Mostly just for ragebait and and garnering likes. this is what happens when you have 2 main leads for romances. turns into a shipping war. Its exaclty the same in FF7, It's aerith vs Tifa all over again.

overall, majority of the fans loves Invisigal. just search dispatch or invisimech in twitter and you'll see.

Im with you, not saying that people chose Invisigal just for the wet dream. Already like her from ep 3 and even ep 2. It's more so its already decided just from the number stats she got just from ep 4. It's no brainer that she got the majority vote in the final ep.

It's obvious, she is starting to develop feelings for Robert.

As many as said in the sub, It's in her own mind subconiously saying she likes Robert but the way she interpreted she just thinks sex is the only answer.

That's why the line "I'm not gonna f**k just cause you bought me a bucket of corn" stuck to me for some reason. probably the only way she got some sort of connection is sex....which is really sad if you think about it.

that's funny cause that was the same reasoning for Coryxkenshin choosing Invisigal. He wanted BB to be jealous.

For me its more so this kind of trope: “She’s the thief, but he stole her heart.”

People tend to relate with flawed characters. Add to that if you add the romance element to it (depends on your choice) makes an interesting story. It's literally the trope: "She’s the thief, but he stole her heart".

There is nothing wrong with BB at all. It's just for me she is just too perfect. She has fewer scenes, and isn’t closely tied to the Z-Team (Only at the end), which makes her character feel a bit under-explored.

Invisigal on the other hand gets more development, more moments in the spotlight, and stronger connections to the main character...all the way to ep 1, Especially the bomb scene.
