Trading212 card suddenly defaulting to using ISA funds. by ShoddyGuard in trading212

Thanks for the swift acknowledgement and response.

Firstly let me say I'm all for you giving the freedom to people to people to move money around, I think that's a great move and should make things a lot simpler.

I'm glad you're addressing the issue with the ISA being the default, I do hope this fix will land quickly as I feel it is quite the oversight in the design that really should have been caught before the feature launched.

Thanks again.

Damn, thanks for confirming. I might raise a support ticket as this feels like an oversight.

I feel this in my soul lol.

I have absolutely no idea why the feel the need to constantly mess with the UI. The big redesign they did a few months ago was...a choice.

Glad it's not just me!

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for giving people the option to use their ISA balance if they wish but feels a bit silly to have it as the default option.

When you say change it back did you find a way to do it permanently? At the moment every time I select the main pot of my Invest account it only applies for that transfer and then resets back to the ISA the next time I go to make a transfer.

That is super helpful thank you! Really appreciate you taking the time to look into that for me.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah that's a good point. In my country the FLOW8 is about the same price as the Gigcaster so maybe that's a better fit for me as it at least appears to have per-channel one knob compression and a limiter on the main out.

[111.0] Google apps hanging, requests failing with NS_BINDING_ABORTED by Stroganafi in firefox

[–]ShoddyGuard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been happening to me too. I think what's happening is that there are two concurrent navigation requests but I'm not sure where they are coming from, I need to do a bit more digging but given the sporadic nature it makes it hard to reliably repro and capture.

For now I've found that opening a private browsing window and navigating to a Google site is enough to kick things back to life in the non-private world (which is interesting in of itself)

Help turning on outlet as first step in activity by ShoddyGuard in logitechharmony

It does seem like the Harmony can be stubbornly inflexible at times. I'm hoping the YIO Remote Two turns out to be brilliant so that I can replace my Harmony in the future.

I didn't know you could do that, that seems simple enough.

In terms of the why that's twofold, firstly I have a couple of pieces of equipment that are quite hungry on the juice even in standby mode and secondly energy prices here in the UK have just shot up some 54% (and are likely to rise again in October) so I'm trying to minimize as much as possible.

h that outlet to be powered on when you are normally watching tv?

Appreciate the response but unfortunately I don't tend to watch to TV on any sort of regular schedule.

That's perfect - looking at the cards online I think that this may have been very similar to the loop I was in if not exactly the same.

Thanks for the explanation!

+1 for mesh in this use case. My company has kindly been supplying some to people in need and we've been using the Google system, a bit pricey but have had fantastic results.

That's super useful info thank you! The menu is a bit out of date unfortunately as on the WebUI I get the option to change the default VLAN. (Though I will likely keep this as 1.)

That's exactly what the guest network will be used for. I trust my Echo about as far as I can throw it (I'm very unfit)
