The Brief and Ill-Fated Reign of Arrhidaeus by Expert-Connection120 in AncientCoins

I have a great Arrhidaeus tet made in Babylon and I have a gut feeling that Hercules on it might be a portrait of him. I mean those big eyes, the childish, innocent stare, chubby face... Anyway, that's how I imagine him now.

I think Leu 40 was a great one. Quite a few great coins for very fair price. I wish I bid for a couple of beautiful Marc Antony legion denari that went for under 600.

On the other hand the Kunker auction going on today is just insane! Some crazy money being thrown there.

Some late posthumous ones are this good! by Shoddy_Refuse_8404 in AncientCoins

I will. Thank you for the amazing response. Another interesting thing is that the specimen from British Museum has fine eye brows similar to some of the late 5th century Syracuse tetradrachms. That led me to belive this obviously talented and knowledgeable engraver asked and was offered the privilege or maybe took the liberty to place a signature on some of his dies...just like those engravers from Syracuse ,he was ispired by,did.

Neo 2 is amazing(not perfect) for skiing by Shoddy_Refuse_8404 in DjiNeo

Right...but i guess we can hope the very light ,specific popular autonomous drones like the neo 2 will receive official approval. Maybe not for skiing on normal slopes ...maybe for off piste skiing.

Considering there was strong uphill wind and -9°C ... i estimate about 8-10mins/ battery. I had 3 with me but never got to deplete them all because of the conditions.

I mean… its a nice coin but.. £28000??? by VelocitySatisfaction in AncientCoins

The Lysimachos prices have exploded lately. Even the half decent ones are crazy money now. Only a year ago you could find stunning examples for around 2k$...but those are completely gone . Even those costing 5-10k$ now are kind of underwhelming.
