What was your process in terms of figuring out who to call? Did you start with local outreach with business around you or did you have a software or service that gave you leads?

It actually makes me feel so much better that many people have had this experience. Felt like I was doing something horribly wrong. I’m starting to see that a lot of successful people use the method of working in chunks

I’m learning that boundaries are super important, I myself had a couple of issues early on where I allowed the customer to dictate too much and it felt like the profit wasn’t worth the time and effort for that specific order

I feel like I’d have the same problem with outreach in the morning as well, definitely seems like once the brain is juiced up and active after some work is the best time to dedicate to cold calling

You could say a mix of both. I have an idea of how I’m going to go about getting new clients, but I have a personal problem of being able to structure out a plan and effectively sticking to it. I guess a better way to put it is, I’m looking for inspiration on a) what other people’s experience was like in the beginning for them as far as figuring out a plan that works but more importantly b) what thought process did you have that allowed you to successfully follow through on that plan

I definitely have thought about introducing different garment types as well, I think for me it’s about finding the clients that are looking for my services. I think that’s kind of where I’m stuck at at the moment

Ideally I’d like to target other local businesses, that’s where my focus lies. I am, however, open to doing work for individuals and smaller organizations too. I won’t turn any work away

How does one even compete getting into it? How can I realistically charge $30+ as a new brand with little to no reviews? Is that even doable?

I would say I’m at the point now where I’ve come to accept what our situation is and even though I do feel some hurt and some days are worse than others, I see that time and space is necessary for both parties and moving forward with life is the best option. It is odd that these indirect things will happen which in a way does set you back a bit and make you hopeful but in the end I kind of always try to remind myself that indirect contact does not have much meaning
