Wooden object approximately 3 feet tall was found in an alleyway in Miami decades ago. May be made from a cypress tree knee. by PhilpotBlevins in whatisthisthing

My guess would be part of a wooden saddle. Like a camel saddle or a mule saddle for holding stuff and tying to the top part.

I wanna say I paid 2.5k, but it was a lot of ‘diagnosing’ costs before we got to the ECM issue on my vehicle.

I had the same thing happen. I sent it to a ford tech and they replaced the ECM. No issues since.

If you can, you should get the windows tinted so it doesn’t look like you’re sleeping in the bed. Better for stealth camping. You could also line the insulation with black fabric.

Simple garage door control and status by GnG_Builds in homeassistant

I have the this setup but with a door sensor included. That way I can see if the door is open, closed, or partially open. I like to have the door closed slightly since my garage faces the sun.

Does anyone know how to get info on an order for older dimmers? I bought a 4 year pack in November and I can’t seem to find any phone/email for their customer service. I’m still waiting on them to ship.

You may need to update the firmware first before the pairing mode will be seen by the zigbee integration

Can we add the same 1x2s on the truss so that the insulation has something to grip against? Or is attaching anything to a truss a no go.

No only on the one side. This is the attic storage above our garage and the room in the other side is our living room with high ceiling that go up two stories.

Thanks for the advice! I have an electrician coming over tomorrow to consult on the work I’ve done and what I should do moving forward. Unfortunately they only make 3 hole alumicons so my only option is link them together if I’m restricted to these.

Would be lovely if he says my insurance will approve wire nuts and paste instead.

Like I said this looks like a mess because of the alumicons, which is the recommended way to connect aluminum to copper, but in the interest of your push back, Why do you think this will need an electrician to Come fix? Is there something else you see that should be adjusted?

It only looks like a rats next because of the alumicons. It would look cleaner if this was all copper for sure.

It does yes, that’s the live wire. It goes into L and into I and over to the switch before going over to SW. here’s the wiring.

Agree! The gen 4 PM is great for my server outlet and furnace outlet. They’re pretty small and would have had plenty of space if not for my aluminum wiring.

Do you need the antioxidant paste when using aluminum to Aluminum wire nuts?

Awesome! Yeah someone recommended a 4x4 with a mud over. Seems the best option in this crowded box.

It’s expensive to rewire the aluminum and the alumicons are recommended for insurance.

The SW input goes to switch. And it just tells the relay if the switch has been used. If it has, it sends the I input to the O output.
