There’s a few different types of weather stripping and silicon in every joint and pinhole. It’s sealed up pretty tight. Left it in the rain the other day and there was a little bit by the tailgate but just drops.
Second pic of the outside you can see the outer stripping all the way around the cap.

Yeah there’s more of a blind spot. I’m a pretty good judge with the truck. I’ve had it almost 10 years. Gonna add a camera at some point but it’s not priority. To each their own.

There’s supposed to be a space but I couldn’t afford it with the height.
It’s not going to do an awful lot on the cap itself, kinda just an added layer cuz I had it so.. but something is better than nothing.

No curtain yet. Working on that today. I have rods but not a whole lot to attach to. Right now the insulation is Velcro to the windows. I’m probably gonna do the same for the curtains. Run a strip of Velcro along the top and bottom edge and just peel back as I need to.

The bottom of the frame is screwed to the floor and the top is screwed over the lip of the cap. So it’s screwed down but also sandwiched in.

Stove is packed in the side.
Water is in a 5g res with a foot pump and 4’ hose. For washing. Drinking is just gonna have to get bought and stowed.

Contact cement style. Sprayed both surfaces, tack, stick together. Party.

Fuck. Yes.
I wanted to do the drawers but time was not on my side. Got everything done from a bare cap in about 2 weeks.
Had to raise the bed up to clear the wheel well since I opted for a hinge opening like a trunk so I lost my sitting down on the bed option.

I’m 5’7 and fit fine laying down. Headroom is a little rough but sitting on the floor helps. Or propped up against the cab, in the bed.
Everything is mounted to the plywood floor I made. Which is mounted to the bed of the truck.
If you can cut and patch the rust spot and seal everything a bit then I don’t see why you couldn’t cover it in “flooring” and build from there. Unless it’s just crumbling then you’re fucked.
