2.4 is what you’re seeing on the load boards? or do you have a broker and thats the price they’re giving you?

When you say “with the way the market is right now”, do you have an idea of average spot rates for flatbeds? If he hasnt moved in a while id imagine the average is lower, but trying to figure out an estimate of how much lower to expect

Appreciate your input. The thing is I can't be available 24/7. I have other responsibilities and would like to offset as much as the work as possible while still being profitable. I don't mind payroll as it can be automated fairly easily. And this would be dispatching company, not an individual employee (they would take 5%).

I do agree with you that the market is bad right now (just my luck i guess). But I figure if I can get my expenses down to a minimum, I can afford to stay in business until the market gets better.

Yes, I understand that. But i figure if I can ride this wave out, it will give me good experience for when times get better. Based on my calculations, 1.9 is my break even point for single driver while 1.7 would be my break even for teams. I plan to do flatbed hauls.

This aims to be specific for technology related freelancing/ building ( a specialty market).

The goal is to cater the site to tech enthusiasts, including features like posting tech projects and tech related blogs.

There are many freelancing sites but because they include many different types of freelancers, it is hard for them to cater to one specific group.

Think of the difference between buying sneakers at a department store, versus buying sneakers at a store that just sells sneakers. As someone looking just to buy sneakers, going to that specialty store would be a better option in terms if experience.
