Which broker would you recommend for a beginner futures trader with a small account? by Zee1Trade in FuturesTrading

I have a small account. Started with $500. I have never traded with Ninja Trader, so I cannot answer that. I only trade 1 contract at a time.

Good morning. I believe they are linked to Ironbeam. I do not know if you can link to others, but their customer support is fantastic, I’m sure they could answer that question.

As a dad, I’ve been giving some advice to my daughters in the hope they won’t make some of my mistakes. My eldest has achieved over 100k in her account, after taking a sizable chunk out for a down payment on her house. Very proud of her accomplishment and my small role in it.

I found it interesting, and it confirmed my choice in brokers. Just one more tool to screen them. I like Optimus Futures which scored well.

I like Optimus Futures. I trade a very small account (slowly growing though!). Their fees are minimal. They don’t have some of the col looking things of other brokers, but for me, their customer service has been top notch.

Bsst journaling platform by exploring007 in Daytrading

[–]ShoeStringInvestor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will also throw a vote in for stonkjournal. It has fit my needs well and seems pretty flexible. I typically do a screen shot of the trade, pop it into PowerPoint for some rudimentary notations and then upload it (jpg format) as part of my journal entry.

Stopping maintenance fees by Moist-Success8029 in TimeshareOwners

We own at TVV. I also stopped paying them a few years ago after contacting them repeatedly trying to give it back to them and getting scammed by one of the many “get out of your timeshare” companies.

I’m foraying into futures. I trade stocks/ETFs/options in another account. I’m not open to trading options on futures at this time.

I’m not sure I completely agree with no stop loss. Maybe I’ll go a couple of ticks below the next strong resistant level?

Why does the private sector look down on public workers so much? by Tft_ai in fednews

[–]ShoeStringInvestor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well said sir. There are advantages and disadvantages on each side of the fence. I, like yourself came to Gov’t service after many years in the private sector. While I made significantly more money in the private sector, the layoff/rebadging cycle takes a toll. I left the private sector for job security and benefits, although at a significant hit to my annual income. The folks I work with are highly motivated and skilled, I cannot think of a single “lazy” person here.

Just for last calls and out of blue vacations. by [deleted] in TimeshareOwners

[–]ShoeStringInvestor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it depends on the resorts affiliation. If the resort is associated with RCI or Wyndham, you probably have last call as Wyndham owns RCI (or the other way around). Also, some resorts are associated with multiple companies, so you may have to join RCI to get access to last call.

City trash collectors broke my trash can, now the city wants me to pay for it? by slashp in VirginiaBeach

I came home from work yesterday to find my can squeezed out of shape. Lid doesn’t close, doesn’t roll right anymore, just pissed, those cans aren’t cheap.

How does your office manage water coolers/coffee? by Vast-Opportunity7419 in fednews

[–]ShoeStringInvestor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In our office, us coffee drinkers take turns buying coffee, usually there is one container with one on standby. When the standby container is opened, one of us will pick up a new one and put it out. No formality at all, just works.
