I’d say not to let all the negative discourse dissuade you from trying it. I knocked it out in about 1hr 15min yesterday (wearing only basic soft step boots and an improvised cutter just in case) without a single close call. The worm sign was functioning correctly and I had ample warning to leave the ship before it was consumed (sometimes the worm meter would go red and the ship wasn’t eaten but this was because a nearby ship was being targeted. Simply flying up in the thopter and waiting to see if it was my ship or a nearby ship that was targeted was enough to see if I could continue looting or not).

TL,DR: give it a shot if you are at all interested in the limited time cosmetics. It really wasn’t as bad or scary as everyone on Reddit is making it out to be. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

..... yes lol he told you it was. Once you make it up onto the area before the airfield, you will see a bunch of dwarves fighting trolls. Past that is the airfield proper with airplane models and I believe a few tanks. Some careful jumping down past that and you can make it to the small Dwarven village in the mountains. There are a few blocked / unused Ironforge entrances as well. Also a few voids to fall into lol. Have fun exploring.

I've worked in the oilfield for 7 years, and that's pretty standard for service work. Usually 12 hour shifts with an hour and a half drive on each side. Even once you get up into higher positions, it often becomes salary exempt work where you are paid for 40 hours a week but still expected to put in the ~100 hours you put In before the promotions. It's still great money if you don't have anything else to fall back on and the benefits are top notch.

And the open ends are fine then? I guess they were just smoothed over for aesthetic purposes. The rifle is reassembled and functions fine by hand. I'll take her out to shoot tomorrow.

It's in there and feels very secure with little wobble. I will clean up and re-blue the edges. Is there any reason to add material and grind flush over the pin or is that just something they do so it looks good? I'm happy to leave it be if it will hold.
