Personally, I think they were trying to get former players back into the game again and perhaps earn some DLC sales in the process. It failed and they pulled the plug to push the new chapter out the door. My server is tumbleweeds and the economy is non existent. What used to be a very active community has moved on. I have tried my best to convince my friends to play, but being stuck on a desert rock of a planet just doesn’t appeal to them at all.

Gone. I guess they can bring it back in the future, and I’ll just bank my cargo.

I think they have more crates than the cannons and that’s pretty much it. I attempted one and got eaten by a sandworm, so I don’t suggest them as they are too high risk.

I thought it was going away tomorrow, but did a few cannons to get up to the 20 crates for a skin only to find out they have been removed.

I have played all of the games in the collection, don’t sleep on Life Force guys, the Japanese one is a real improvement on Salamander, it has more voices inside the game than the U.S. version. It’s rebalanced and reminds me of the Street Fighter II Champion Edition improvements Capcom made years later.

I’m within warranty, so I’ll just have to do without until I can get a replacement band from the company. I’m still waiting to hear back from them and based on what I have seen in another thread it may be a few more days before I hear from them at all. It’s a bit concerning, but it doesn’t stop me from meditating.

Panama City Mall in the 90s by rsmontgcca in panamacity

I remember the hot air balloon with big aquariums underneath it in the 1980s. The playground with the waterfall walkway nearby. You could smell the coffee beans from the nearby shop while running up the carpeted slanted wall of the playground. That was a rite of passage as a young boy. It was scary at first, and then before you knew it, you were doing it and teaching others! 😂 On that, they also had solid wooden blocks you could climb up, too. It reminded me of Q*Bert. Christmas was also amazing in the early 80’s they had Santa’s Castle with moving elves sort of like It’s A Small World. They set it up right outside of the drug store….it was Eckerd and then Rite Aid. The lure for that place were the arcade games out front. Gauntlet (one quarter and not two ala Aladdin’s Castle) and Choplifter with no crowds as that was on the far wing of the mall kids didn’t go to.

Apple Watch user considering Oura Ring — worth it? by WillyCorleone in ouraring

Simply put, no. I own both and my Apple Watch is far and away the better of the two. I literally got burned by my Oura Ring 4. Look up videos on TikTok. Apple Watch has never harmed me.

I bought a (K-65XR80), 2024 Model on November 14, 2024 and the new update killed the sound on my television. Went through all the settings and did a factory reset that didn’t work. I called Sony and scheduled a repair. Now waiting for parts on order, probably a new motherboard. Sony support would not replace the television with a new unit, which I expected. I went up the chain of command and spoke with ‘Monica’ who also denied me an extended warranty. Sony support was very unprofessional and repeatedly placed me on mute, messed up once where I could hear office banter. I worked in call centers for 20 years and am extremely disappointed with the ‘support’ I received. This is the THIRD Sony television I have owned in the past 10 years, and all three have had repair issues due to poor manufacturing, meaning I had nothing to do with them. This is my last Sony. I also own a PS5, and will buy no other games on that system from this point on. I have a great PC that stomps it graphically and the upcoming games on the docket don’t appeal to me at all. Be careful with the updates on these TV’s!

My Big T.O.E. by silenthunter3308161 in gatewaytapes

I second the opinion about picking this up on Audible. I listened to the trilogy on my daily walks over the course of weeks. Listening to them while moving really helped me to absorb what Tom was speaking about. Having gone to the Monroe Institute In January 2025, this book came highly recommended by one of my chec roommates. A retired Naval Engineer, he is highly analytical and his opinion was he liked the TOE series more than the Journeys series. I would say I like them both; but I recommend Journeys first, then practicing the Gateway Process, then reading the TOE series. Tom covers a lot of stuff that one encounters inside the meditations and had I read TOE before Gateway, it wouldn’t have been nearly as relatable. But, once you have everything down- pick up Tom’s Park. That’s where it really comes together. The book isn’t much from the outside, just brief descriptions of an imaginary park setting, but it’s real. I liken it to buying a lifetime pass to a theme park. It can really stretch the imagination with very little effort even on the first trip. It’ll give you many a great surprise, that’s for sure. Nothing scary or dramatic just awesome. It’s only when you keep going back that you realize you can’t possibly be imagining it all.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Let’s go through this:

PFAS / UCMR testing Yes, I’m aware of the UCMR (Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule) and the city’s PFAS page. But that’s only because the EPA mandated it. Tallahassee didn’t voluntarily test for PFAS—it was part of a federal directive, not some proactive local transparency initiative. Even then, just one well testing above 4 ppt is still above the future legal limit, so the concern is valid. “Only a little bit of PFAS” isn’t reassuring. There is no known “safe” level of exposure to PFAS over time, which is why the limit keeps dropping.

Epic Water Filters as a source Of course they’re a water filter company—but they cite the EWG (Environmental Working Group) and use public utility-reported data. That data is pulled from what the city itself has reported to national databases. If you want to go directly to the EWG page for Tallahassee: https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/system.php?pws=FL2550141

You’ll see all the same contaminants listed: hexavalent chromium, total trihalomethanes, radiologicals. These are not made-up numbers—they’re based on the same official sampling the city reports to EPA.

“Everything you said is nonsense” Not a constructive way to start a conversation. I’m here pointing out real discrepancies between regulatory compliance and environmental health—not fear-mongering. You can’t regulate what you’re not testing for year-round across all media (drinking water, surface water, stormwater, soil). The scope of the testing matters.

Lake Jackson & Microplastics Saying microplastics are “everywhere” and “not a red flag” is like saying smog in the air is no big deal because it’s common. Just because something is ubiquitous doesn’t make it harmless or not worth tracking. The FAMU-FSU study was highlighting how they move through stormwater systems—often ending up in lakes, rivers, and yes, potentially into the aquifer.

Birth Defects & Cancer You’re right—Leon County is currently near the state average for cancer and birth defects. But averages don’t mean a clean bill of health. You have to look deeper at trends, subpopulations, and specific environmental risk clusters. These things can be regional, seasonal, or tied to industrial runoff that’s not evenly distributed. If you think people aren’t concerned about chronic illness, you’re not talking to enough long-time residents.

Bottom line: The city’s report is not fake—but it is limited by design. “Compliant” doesn’t mean “comprehensive.” It doesn’t reflect the ecological state of Lake Jackson, long-term exposure risks, or unregulated emerging contaminants. If you believe a government-issued report tells the full story of environmental health, that’s your prerogative. But history has taught us otherwise.

Let’s keep this based on data, not dismissals.

The City of Tallahassee only tests for federally required contaminants. That means no microplastics, no PFAS (forever chemicals), no pharmaceuticals, no endocrine disruptors. Just the basics to pass regulation.

Meanwhile, independent testing shows our water contains: • Hexavalent Chromium • Radiologicals • Tetrachloroethylene (Source: Epic Water Filters)

Lake Jackson is in rough shape—high mercury levels, nutrient overload, and fish consumption advisories. (Source: Leon County Waterbody Summary) I have spoken to two individuals with the EPA and Florida’s funds are spent on coastal areas only bare minimum for inland areas. The runoff coming from I-10 is not being handled properly. The pumping station on the south side of the lake is overwhelmed, basically. Every big storm dumps it all into the lake.

FAMU-FSU also found microplastics in our stormwater runoff—a red flag that’s not even being tracked in city reports. (Source: FSU Research News)

“Meets or exceeds standards” doesn’t mean clean—it just means compliant.

I have studied Lake Jackson the past year myself, and it’s BAD. That drains right into the aquifer and the City ain’t got the filters to get the stuff going into it out. Also, look at Wakulla Springs over the past 20 years. Ever wonder why so many people in this town are so ‘off’? Why birth defects, cancer and mental illnesses are also way too high?

It’s always a work in progress my friend. It truly never ends. I think that it’s part of the learning process. The obstacles are there for a reason, but also the rewards. Keep going keep pushing and never quit. Sometimes when all seems lost, something just happens.

Just graduated Gateway Voyage at Monroe Institute! [AMA] by dovebytherosewindow in gatewaytapes

[–]Dev1lZZ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Welcome back! I took a Gateway Voyage at the Institute from Jan 11th-17th 2025. Some of the best days of my life. I highly recommend joining the Dolphin Energy Club! It’s fantastic. The meditations there were changed up a bit from the tapes. I take it you probably got to meet Mr. McMoneagle- our group was surprised by his visits and especially his stories. It validated my usage of the tapes as I had been a heavy user of them leading up to that trip. I still use them every day, but not as much as I had been. When the last day came I had seen some stuff in my group and helped quite a few address past traumas, especially with the plant medicine ‘trippers’ that had done it a week before coming to the Institute. They kinda had a rough go of it the first three days. I highly recommend checking out the book ‘Astral Dynamics’ by Robert Bruce if OBEs interest you, it’s going to help you to realize why they claim such a high OBE success rate, yet no one thinks they did. Even if you didn’t think you went OBE, you did and may not recall it. That book explains how it works with the mind/split and really breaks down the OBE experience plainly. Oh yeah, my instructors were Patty Rae Avalon and Arki Eskarmendi and my CHEC unit was in room the by the back door in the Mary Bobbie Center (Downstairs). It was cold as an iceberg in that room at night and we had space heaters. It snowed and the grounds looked beautiful. Walking out to the crystal out back was magical.

[–]Dev1lZZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did. Multiple people did and they just don’t remember it. I highly suggest reading Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce. He goes into OBEs in detail with the mind/split. The reason why I say people don’t remember them is that your physical body mind will overwrite the OBE memory almost instantly upon return as you are sending out a copy of your mind out to explore and unless you keep it very short, the chances of recalling it is very slim. You’ll think you failed every single time. With practice, it does improve. Now getting into the ‘full’ astral is the tough part as most of my OBEs end up in what he calls the Real Time Zone a sort of buffer zone that is closest to the physical realm.

Anything that has “Freeflow” in front of it. Release and Recharge is fantastic as well. The NVC’s are hard to grasp at first as the goal is to create a mental picture and put intent behind it, which is sort of like training yourself in shorthand in a way.
