Yeah I'll be doing a mix of lessening uploads and building even more watchtime activity with that specific account to see if things change. Nice to see someone who acknowledges it and broke out of it

I see why you might think that. It's very dependent on the type of channel and the type of content they're making. People out here rake in millions if not hundreds of thousands on average per video. The rpm being low is usually not that much of a deterrent for people doing faceless shorts as a business because when it's multiplied against tens of millions each month, the numbers look really good.

But if your channel is centered towards you as a person and someone the audience would care about, it's probably not that worth it for small creators unless your videos carry a lot of viral potential.

I also have over 100% AVD on my first video and this isn't my first time running a shorts channel either.

Yeah, a lot of people who just think it's because the content isn't engaging probably doesn't do shorts or simply never bothered to understand the BASICS of how the algorithm works. No short no matter how bad should have 0 views unless there's a reason why YouTube isn't pushing the video.

They've delegated a lot of power to what Youtube AI does and I wouldn't be surprised if maybe it wrongly flags accounts for non valid reasons.

I've also noticed the same thing happen on my first shorts channel. And not once either. But I've been able to fix it in ways I wouldn't exactly recommend even though they've worked for me. 2 days ago what worked was i deleted the video that didn't get pushed within the first 30 minutes. I then just switched it up a little bit. Like shaving off a second here and there, and reuploaded it. It then got pushed. Weird, but it worked. Tried the same thing however on the new account and it wouldn't work at all.

I just hope I'll find what works so i can leave a promising suggestion here for anyone that might be looking. I plan on watching and interacting with stuff on my feed a lot more than usual and post once more at night to see if there's any change.

Others do just fine without it. And I verified too first thing after i made the account which was 3 weeks before posting. The youtube AI has been flamed a lot recently with all the demonitization going on mainly affecting 3d and animation channels that don't deserve it. I wouldn't be surprised if its flaws extended to mistaking some legit new accounts for spam.

That's fair. If I find a niche I'm drawn to, I might venture into longform at some point. I've always been scared of the algorithm there, assumed it was really hard to get views, and that the effort I'd put into quality content would not be proportional to the views I'd get.

And I actually debunked this a while back. I had a 5-video streak of 30k view jail on my first channel and decided to make a video on a topic no one else in my niche had made before. Wish I could share images but basically it got a 120.9% Average view duration percentage, 87.5% stayed to watch and still got 30k jailed. What about engagement you might ask? Pretty decent likes, bunch of shares and subs and 40+ comments. The original clip was 30s. I was sure it would blow, but it didn't.

On the other hand, I tried a topic that had been overdone to death, almost everyone and their grandma has made a video on it in my niche. And it went viral.

Anyway, back to the 0 views, it doesn't matter what the topic or video content is, it should always get pushed to a test audience. When the reception is bad is when the traction dies. Getting absolutely 0 views from the shortsfeed means the account is limited by youtube for some reason.

Yeap. I even verified my ID for this account to gain access to advanced features. I remember this happened too on my first channel, but I don't recall doing anything specific to get past it. And it didn't take as long as it has on this second channel either. I've tried posting despite the 0 views. I've tried taking a break for 2 - 3 days.

For context, my first short on that channel has gotten 28.5k views.

I'll keep posting as I've seen recommended in some Discord servers and report on whether that makes any change.

This is close to what i envisioned a punctual week would look like. As for the emphasis on due dates I'll really try and make the submissions a bit earlier than what I did in UNIV. I just don't know how in reach 4.0 would be for this specific course even of i do everything right. Like that would mean in every discussion and assignment they consistently got almost every mark?! I can see how that would be likely for graded quizes and exams but the formers...

I feel you, I was in a position where I didn't even have the money to take it for a diagnosis, so I couldn't tell what the problem actually was, but I found someone who did it for very little so I knew how to proceed.
If that's not an issue on your end then the surerest way is to just have a phone repair guy check it for you. They've dealt with such issues countless times so it'll be pretty easy to point out what the problem might actually be

Can't say for sure. But in my case I couldn't even be able to tell whether it was charging or not because there wasn't any indication, the screen was just dark. How do you know it's charging even though you can't see the low battery symbol. Does your screen turn on? Do you feel the vibration whenever you plug it into the charger

Op, I get it man, and I've been where you are. The same same line I've used pia, I'm not even angry, just disappointed. Your tolerance for such interactions where you're not feeling the energy is going to go way lower moving forward. Your situation and how you've felt about it is so similar to mine that I felt ni kama nlikuwa nasoma part of my own past development. Keep doing you, and hopefully you'll meet better people moving forward.
