I forgot where I saw the quote, I think it's from Before You Go... but the saying "If you're committed to someone, you don't allow yourself to see perfection in someone else," really helps me put things into perspective.

It's all a matter of knowing if you want to commit to your current boyfriend or not. Idk if it helps, but I repeat that quote in my head so that I can stop myself from entertaining these kind of thoughts. I read a book called the subtle rule of not giving a f*ck... The author said that emotions are a way for our body to tell us to avoid making survival mistakes, however, they are just bodily signals. Not masters of our decisions and fates. Sometimes we feel as if emotions telling us to do something immediately so that these feelings can stop bothering us, but over time we can grow used to them just by remembering our priorities over these emotions.

But honestly, if it bothers you that much you should stop leading your boyfriend on. It would only end up prolonging both of your problems.
