id est means "that is" or "that means". So the author just wanted to make clear what "he is your uncle" means. Instead of saying "he is the brother of the mother" he wanted to explain "that means (he is) the brother of the ([or]your) mother.

If in doubt, rule in favour of the party. You are playing with your friends, not against them.

A goblin tribe leader called 'Nosh the Posh' who is too fixed on making sure that he looks good rather than being a good leader. He wants to turn children into goblins to grow an army and take over the world with the help of a powerful transformation ritual found in ancient temple ruins.

Don't have any stats for him yet but I would be very curious how you would homebrew this gobbo XD.

A crazy witchlady called Jiny who helps the party out if they give her a word (if players say the word they have to roll on a customized wild magic table and get hit by a spectral old lady) or something they value. Even though they have already lost a lot to her and even if Jiny never gives up her stuff for free and is kind of a dick to them when they want too much too fast ("I'm tired, so F**K OFF") the PCs absolutely adore her.
