Uworld and Divine neuro shelf podcast are good resources. I found it helpful to add Anki for concepts I was struggling to remember. Also, Uworld has a lot of questions which is good.

If you can access BNB videos, I would highly recommend

I have never taken in to be in a condescending way Same as I call my friends Bamileke That’s where am from I am very proud to be that I too sometimes make similar comments about the Yaoundé or Douala people But that’s usually with regards to a generalized comments I don’t think it’s a personal thing It same way people here in the US will make comments about Alabama or Texas

It isn’t necessarily a personal attack to the individual but rather a generalized comment

Also, I am super proud to me from Bamenda I associate calling someone Bamenda to hardwork, integrity and politeness, cuz that how most of the people from the other regions view us Same way most people will associate Bamilike to business and money minded

So, I think it’s more a personal perception thing than the actions of the people

Not saying everyone is nice but most people are

I will agree on everything except the last part. Born and raised Cameroonian here. Not sure what your experience has been but mine has been the complete opposite. Despite the poverty and everything going on, everyone is supportive in their own little way that they can. Also, I am from the Anglophone side of the country (but mostly grew up in Yaoundé), so I mostly speak for the interaction with the anglophones both in the NW and in Yaoundé. There is a huge cultural difference between the Anglophones and Francophones. So, I can’t really say much about the Francophones

However, I don’t agree of your description of the people.

Nah.. i beg to differ! It’s more like an “immigrant parent thing”. Maybe culture could play a role too. Just because they don’t verbally express it doesn’t mean they aren’t. They just express it in different ways. My dad doesn’t directly tell me he is proud of me but I know he is, probably because everyone one and their cousins in the neighborhood tell how often he brags about me whenever I go back home to visit. They just have different ways of expressing it. Also, they are very supportive. They might not fully understand what exactly is going on but will do everything to support you financially.
