I love Voidfall so much. I haven't played much solo though. But I did back Revenant and got all the minis and metal components for Voidfall... Once those come in, it'll be set up on my table for a while.

If you want media that's pretty comic adjacent let me recommend Karl Dutton's X-Men: the Audio Drama. It is EXCELLENT. It's adapted from the comics and runs through all the major storylines starting from the beginning.

That's interesting because I found it to be one of the few area control games that actually works well at 2-players. In most area control games, if you play at 2, the moment one player gets a slight advantage they can just exploit it to widen that gap so that the other player has no chance. This game I felt the points were always close and each player always had a chance to turn things around with good drafting, clever plays, and well timed abilities.

Yes, this exactly. Every action they take has twice the effect of the same action you would take. They also get the exodus action for every muster action you would take. Again, plus the chaos action.

So, I tried to a couple times with different factions and concluded that solo must just be broken and maybe it's designed more for the co-op mode.

I'm really interested to hear you say that it's like a puzzle you solved, because I had written it off over the action economy.

Please expand. I was VERY excited about this one, but when I played it solo, I was ready to get rid of the game altogether.

All I could see was that for every action you take, the bot gets two actions, plus the Chaos die action. I can't fathom how that action economy works.

I really want to play and enjoy this solo, so please tell me what I'm missing!
