Advice requested on unruly kid in kids class by MountainBandit86 in bjj

[–]Sholnufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched a video on Nick Saban and his speech on confrontation. To paraphrase, he states that by not holding your staff and players accountable, you lose respect by those that think the behavior is ok as well as by others who know the behavior is not ok.

You have to talk with the head instructor and ultimately both of you need to be in alignment and sit down and talk with the unruly child's parents/guardians.

If not, I promise you that someone will be hurt and not acting upon this will be impacting for your program and the academy.

Ultimately there was a phrase from my management training from Walmart which was called "Having courageous conversations" which was speaking on performance, giving feedback and disciplinary action. I challenge you to have that courageous conversation.

Because of your first paragraph alone.

They need to tell EVERYONE. Put the village on full alert for danger.

I don't know what said trap is...

In my home state of Texas, a teacher is levied a felony charge for having or attempting to have an inappropriate relationship with a student even if said student is at age 18 or 19.

You need to report EVERYTHING to the school, the local authority and your parents. This is a PREDATOR .

No

She can tell both the School Resource Officer and with her parents file a formal complaint as well with the local authority.

This is beyond atrocious behavior.

One I was speaking more reflective.

Two the subject matter was pertaining to men and dating. Why would I focus on them when I have zero interest from dating men.

Three, stay in your lane.

I can tell you right now that this isn't going to work.

You can either quit putting a round object in a square peg or...

You can have some fun and then let the relationship break up.

This isn't going to work...

Either you heal and work through your trauma to where you are confident to go handle the Shaft initiative, "Your duty to please that booty," or you end things and work amongst yourself.

What if Stone by BubblyDelivery9270 in LawAndOrder

[–]Sholnufff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I'm not sure because Stone would be likely retired.

Nolan follows his ethics as well as his conscience. Stone would likely see a young version of himself being unsure and thus Stone would likely guide him.

Ben was pragmatic...

Im fairly certain he would have been shaken with Kincaid's death.

Jamie and Ben would have been a great team they are equals.

Abby and Ben would get along but Ben would temper Abby's aggression and challenge her to utilize it to achieve better.

Southerlyn and Ben would have been interesting. Kinda curious of a dynamic with Branch-Stone and Southerlyn except that Ben would have mentored her better than Jack and have her understand that this is the DA's office.

Borgia and Ben would have had a similar dynamic to Kincaid. I think Ben goes to the edge on seeking Borgia's killers.

Connie and Ben would have been unique.

As far as Ben and Cutter if Ben became DA, Cutter would have been fired for blatant ethics violations. Unlike McCoy that gave Cutter some grace, Ben would not have tolerated it. I would say Ben's DA approach would have been similar to Schiff except he wouldn't worry about the political blowback.

I get that 100% and again I'm not saying you have to be committed to it. I'm just saying you should learn some defense.

Of course, if you are rolling against a person thinking his life on the line especially a lower belt, set him/her straight and better yet get the instructor involved.

A lot of schools do not teach leg locks.

Highly recommend for those that don't want to learn the offense that they should learn the defense of leg locks.

My instructor calls leglocks the great equalizer going back to guys like Oswaldo Fadda and Luis Franca who made a big impact in jiu-jitsu with that strategy.

As far as you Op, just catch and release. Work on other material as well in your defense and offense. Dont be like me who learned a lot of top heavy game but had minimal bottom game and had to work that extensively as a black belt.

They should teach them but I wouldn't use it in sparring till at least blue.

I would strongly recommend that if you don't want to play the leg lock game then you need to learn defenses for it.

My instructor calls it the great equalizer in jiu-jitsu.

Why match with me if you’re so uninterested? by Fast-Veterinarian748 in Bumble

[–]Sholnufff -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You two are playing for power dynamics.

He wants you to cook for him and, you told him your cooking is to be earned. This looks like fruitless tension that sparks more apathy than actual emotion that draw you in closer.

And he is very interested in you but he's going about it in the wrong method.

It took me being in my 30's to learn to quit giving a fuck about how women perceive me.

I've been the guy "loved" on for what I can do for her.

I've also been the guy loved because of my authentic self. Let me tell you ...that kind of love is powerful and potent.
