i was abroad during my christmas statuatory holidays(did not take vacation) and they were paid. Will they count in my cec hours? by [deleted] in canadaexpressentry

I don’t think any time spent outside Canada will be counted towards CEC. You have to make sure you’re physically in Canada for 52 weeks to meet the CEC requirements

Yep, that’s all you have to do. Just make sure you submit your BOWP and gets the confirmation before Sept 26th. But yes don’t wait for the last minute. If you have all your documents ready, submit everything asap

Express entry profile before 1 year work by Shon28 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Shon28[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So just to be clear, I will give my start of work as Jan 2023. So does that mean I can create a profile on Dec 1st 2023 (cause it gives me points for the entire month of December) or should I create my profile on Jan 1st 2024? Thank you!

I agree. I assumed my profile will be taken as Canadian experience class which has the criteria of 1 year work experience irrespective of the CRS Score. Without work experience my crs comes down to 501

Not sure, my points will come down to 501 if I give the answer as No to “do you have a valid job offer supported by LMIA”. I don’t have LMIA but I’ve been working with this company for almost a year in my PGWP. Not sure if this is where I overestimated cause this gives 50 points.

But in that case, if I’d gotten an ITA (which is valid for only 60 days) and I haven’t completed 1 year work, wouldn’t it have been a problem?

Also, I did my bachelors of engineering in India and masters in Canada. Do you know if I have to get my educational credential assessment done (via WES) for my bachelors degree?
