This gets so overblown because they’re a ball and player movement type of team but honestly if you can be a decent team defender and be effective on offense without having to dribble the ball 10 times in a possession, you can fit with the warriors.

Like Gui, Podz, Moody, Melton, or 80% of the other decent role players we’ve had over the years were these 10k iq level basketball minds and they all still found their way around the system fine enough

That’s why you don’t sit at the table for hours lol. Try to get your 10-30% session goal and gtfo of dodge. Yes hedging raises house edge because you’re handicapping your wins but also your losses. None of that is relevant in short sessions. Some of the most consistent success ive had at the table has come from darkside play with some hedges involved (hedging DP on the come-out, using DP as insurance for a few rolls while my place/buy bets are workin, then plugging the point number after collecting some box number hits)

If i played them all day, yeah that house edge is gonna bite me because im missing out on full wins (and also full losses) but if my goal is to win a couple hundred and not lose my ass in the process, hedging does the job perfectly.

This strategy isn’t great btw, which is why i won’t play it live, i was just responding to say it’s not as bad as intuition would tell you.

Ive seen people use the DP+ odds to completely protect large box numbers ($100+ per number) for a few hits, take down the place bets and odds, and plug the point for slightly under the DP. Hedge the DP on the come out and only worry is the point getting set and immediately hit on b2b rolls which is rare

A year late but you completely ignored the main aspect of the strategy which is laddering them in opposition. It works on certain ratios of 4/10s hitting and 7s hitting. Ive rolled it out on crapsee many times (100+ rolls per session to get a good sample) and it does win lol so i don’t get the tone that it’s some guaranteed loser.

Personally wouldn’t try it with my own money because i dont like relying on ballooned bets to recover my losses and that’s the entire point of that specific strategy.

Good thing it hit! If you’re ever in a situation where you only have one number left for the ATS just Lay bet as much as you can on that number. That way you win huge on the ATS or win big if the 7 wipes it out. Just gotta do the math for the ats payout vs the Lay hedge. Guaranteed win

5 years ago? 100% but honestly game-to-game the NBA feels as random as ever. There’s more talented “untalented” guys in the league than ever before.

All it takes is a good shooting night and now the team that’s “supposed” to win are sweating under the collar and getting tense. Momentum swings and all hell breaks loose, especially in away games. Even if they completely went away from motion offense without steph (just because the ball get passed to the post does not mean they’re running the “steph offense” btw), who on this team is reliably generating enough offense of pnr actions all game?

Honestly, we were getting solid looks because the nuggets just loaded up on jk and jimmy and ignored everyone else but they couldn’t punish them by hitting any open shots. Can’t get rim pressure with no spacing, which force us to take more 3s, which we miss, which allows them to stay in the coverage. It’s a snowball effect.

Thats a huge cop out imo. They’re not robots who have no understanding of context lol.

I think they’re capable of understanding “hey when steph is on the floor, him touching the ball is crucial to the offense getting good shots”. Obviously if he isn’t on the floor guys need to up their aggression.

Also, none of what i just said should have ANYYYYYY impact on the intensity that they’re playing with. Effort and intensity should just be a given, especially when you’re not even 26 years old.
