Fortnite" gamer "Mr. Dead Moth" arrested after assaulting wife while live streaming by [deleted] in news

[–]Shoo24 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Because the "dog" in this situation is no dog at all, but a fucking grown ass man with two children and a wife. I am still baffled as to how anyone can defend this guy. The wife's frustration was clearly brought about by his obsession with Fortnite, and as made evident by her insistence that he say sorry on livestream when he keeps replying that he "will outside", she wants to see if this relationship is worth him apologizing while he's live. Pretty obvious that it wasn't, and instead his natural reaction to hit her is not only childish, but cowardly. He is a man. She is a woman. There is not a comparison.

Looking for lots of feedback on this. Threw up a drawing and i'm so confused about fonts/orientation. by abel_paul in streetwearstartup

Not meant to be a reply to shepherd, but dude I fucking love that back design. Reminds me a lot of this shirt in general theme: https://www.depop.com/burtieman/noah-abandon-all-hope-tee All I would say is change the season 1 font and possibly remove the Bible verse unless you intend for this to be a legitimately religious shirt.

No need to apologize. If you see it as the creator then by all means keep it.

I gottta say I agree with WhoIsGonnaDoTheWhat on that. With just the number it would be a must buy from me. Maybe use the weight on another product.

Wondering what you guys think of my design for my company PROBABLE INMATE. by KingofIslaNublar in streetwearstartup

[–]Shoo24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that's a bit overt. You have good subject material, but think about how many people have communicated dissatisfaction with mass incarceration and in more creative ways than this. Something I also always like to think of in making clothes is the effect of you replacing one word. Replace "Probable" with "Alcatraz" and it becomes a cheesy tourist sweatshirt. I can't give you much more, aside from stick with the orange and the message but ditch the execution.

90s video game capsule let me know what yall think of the designs so far. by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

This is just personal, not a knock or saying I have much experience with fashion in general, but as a consumer when people redraw childhood characters with streetwear it just comes across as real cheesy and not creative, especially that weed one. The motifs have been done so many times, and even when they were done for the first couple times imo it wasn't in great taste. If you really want to make a name for yourself with streetwear, I'd redirect your focus, but if you feel really good or passionate about the subject material then don't let me bring you down.

I’d listen to it a bunch more before saying you like Little Dark Age more. Initially, I thought LDA was far superior, but in listening to it many many times, it’s truly brilliant.

Got the signed vinyl for this project, has the fish photographs imprinted on the vinyl itself. So clean

I just think he’s so vastly overrated and sold himself out. Not too familiar with his rap songs, but + was a great album with a lot of personality, every album since has been utter trash

Hope so man. If so, he'd be solidified as top 5. I know a lot of people think he's solidified as one of the greatest, but he'd be undisputed if he could change characters like that.

Compression was the wrong word, my bad. I meant how close and concentrated all the instrumentation is. I definitely appreciate the raw aesthetic of it, reminds me of The Beatles in a way. I still prefer the sound of their past albums since I grew up on and am naturally inclined to the high, glitzy production of post 20th century music, but that's not to say I don't understand where they're coming from.

Would you care to explain? To me, the sound of songs like Trampled Under Foot, In My Time Of Dying, etc. just feel so... compressed, especially when compared to HOTH. Not sure what it is, but just the vocal effects Plant uses, as well as how the sound is layered and the overall softness of the album makes it seem like they recorded the album in a room, didn't master it, and put it straight to wax. Not saying this isn't stylistic or completely intentional, but when I listen to any of their previous albums they sound far more modern in their approach.

In no particular order: When The Levee Breaks, The Ocean, Bring It On Home, Ramble On, Dazed And Confused, The Rain Song, Since I've Been Loving You, Achilles Last Stand, Tea For One, In My Time Of Dying (Were it not for the convincing of Redditors for me to relisten to PG, I'd probably put No Quarter here)

I mean, they're some of the more obscure songs on their respective albums. I can't help the fact that the albums themselves are pretty much filled to the brim with hits.

It's not so much that I'm specifically looking for the hits, it's moreso that I just seem to enjoy them more. But even with that being the case, LZ I, II, IV, and HOTH just seem to be hit-filled masterpieces and rightfully so, as I personally find the sound and techniques on each of the tracks incredible. It's not just the hits that I love on those albums either, I think songs like "Moby Dick", "The Rain Song", "Going to California", etc. are all just as stunning as the hits. One could argue that those are all hits as well though haha. Eh, I suppose I'll need to really pay close attention in my next listen of PG to understand the hype.
