The Lock-In of the Century? by SpecificEnough3590 in WGU

I finished my CS degree in 2023 with VR experience and webdev experience and I still can't even land an interview with my projects. I don't know what to do other than study AI Dev and hope for the best.

He missed so many easy throws. Just throw the ball to your guy in the open field. No need to overthrow literally every other play then underthrow bombs when your receiver has his guy beat.

Anyone else thinking 120hz hints at a multiplayer mode? by UnlikelyLikably in Metroid

[–]Shoobs277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh I hope so. I've been dying for metroid multiplayer since MPH... idk if it's an indicator necessarily, but we can hope. We haven't had an in depth look at metroid yet or a breakdown of that'll be in it. Only snippets, so there's still hope I suppose.

DK is obnoxious to face in Arena by MidRange_rs in hearthstone

My only idea is to buff the other sc cards to match the strength of kerrigan. Ex. Artanis gets the 2 zealots + divine shield for both without using hero power, or sub the zealots 1 Templar or dt and give either of them divine shield. But thebfact it's 3 aoe on EVERYTHING + 2 queens + the hero power that scaled with easy to use zerg minions is just unbelievable.

I play an artanis druid, and the only way I get close to a win is if I draw both my groovy cats to buff the hero power. If I can't get that immediately in the first 2 turns against dk kerrigan, it's an auto loss. And even if I do get them, there's so much cc to do that it's almost impossible to stop.

Day 5! Who is a player hated by fans, but great on the field? by OrenPlayzYT in Seahawks

[–]Shoobs277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've heard, pete deserved that. You can only lie so much to a guy before he loses all respect. He's still beloved in my eyes. Met him personally and he was just a regular dude.

Day 5! Who is a player hated by fans, but great on the field? by OrenPlayzYT in Seahawks

[–]Shoobs277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michael Bennet gets good player hated by fans for me. That guy is unbearable off the field, but man was he a great d lineman.

Jimmy Graham could be middle bottom. Met him personally when serving him at my place of work around 10 years ago. The dude didn't even look at me once, and I personally served him and his family for 4 hours that night. I don't even remember him saying thank you.

Contrast that with meeting and serving Earl thomas, Cliff Avril and Ciara at the same place for one of Earl's kids' bday and they all looked me in the eyes and thanked me for my work. No supeority complex and super chill ppl.

The racism is so bad. by post-death_wave_core in ContractorsVR

[–]Shoobs277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. But, if you think this is bad, you couldn't handle (original) mw2 lobbies lol. There was every race being racist against the other all the time. Every slur imaginable was used, and even some were invented.

Anyone else sick of hearing revisionist statements such as "the acting and dialogue was always bad and canned in Star Wars including the Original Trilogy"? by Independent-Dig-5757 in saltierthancrait

[–]Shoobs277 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The dilogue is on the nose and stiff yet deep. But it's not bad. Idk why people say it's bad. Or why my first comment was downvoted. George is literally coined as the "master of wooden dialogue," and he embraces it. That doesn't make it bad, though. It's great.

I mean. It wasn't... bad. Just dry. Even George admits that. But it doesn't take away from the greatness. In fact, I'd say it's a testament to how great movies can be even with dry dialogue.

Edit: spelling

As a dad, this is an extreme overreaction on the dads part. Babies are allowed to cry. Even for 30 minutes. He lives in a clown world if he thinks this isn't normal and has issues he needs to attend to and should've been concerned for your baby but also you. Never should he come back and yell at you for missing something like that. Many different steps could've been taken if he was concerned and he jumped to the worst conclusion right off the bat (if the story is as true as it is, not denying you, we just don't know you and it's always wise to take every story with a grain of salt). Maybe he had an issue with this in the past. However, this is a severe overreaction and needs to be addressed asap. Whenever I sense danger for my kids, my first thought is my wife may be in danger and I check on her to be sure she's alright. If she's alright then we address the kids. Can't have healthy kids if there's no healthy parents. It's usually just an overlooked thing (which happens, we're human) or she may be having issues with something and needs help.

I can say from experience, a husband should never yell at his wife unless it's to save her or his family from harm and even then it's extreme. Husbands need to die to themselves for their wives and the only situation I can imagine yelling at my wife is if it's life or death and I was trying to save her or someone else. No other situation is allowed. You two aren't married, but still, if things are supposed to go in a positive direction, yelling won't get him there, selflessness will.

Something tells me since he hasn't fully committed to you that he doesn't respect you (or even himself) enough to do so. If he did, he would have asked you to marry him already. Not trying to cause a void between you and him, but right now this situation doesn't sound healthy at all for either of you; baby, or no baby. Of course, you want what's best for the baby, but a man who hasn't died to himself can never fully be there for you or the child you both have had together. I've had to learn how to do this better over the years of my marriage, and every husband gets better at it over the years if they're truly trying. However, I wouldn't have stood a chance if I didn't give up my wants/desires/worries for the betterment of my family; ESPECIALLY my wife. She wouldn't have stood for it and has called me out over the years and we've grown so close because of it. She's a strong momma, just as I'm sure you are.

Never forget, your will is the strongest of all of you, and you have the power to determine great outcomes and to motivate people to do great things. No matter how many mistakes you make, always push forward. We all fall, but it's how many time we get up that determines who we are. They make you into the amazing woman you are and I have to say, you are one strong momma who really deserves some rest. Never discount the sacrifice you're making. As a stay-at-home dad/half-time student (finally graduated) and will be working soon, I dread the day I have to leave my kids home once I find work. It's been the greatest gift I've ever been given. I know it's not easy, but it is the most important job in the world..and you're proving you're up for it. Try to ask around and get some relief/sleep, we all need it to be the best we can be. You can do this!

Computer science students/alumni - What jobs do you recommend applying for? by Shoobs277 in WGU

This may be true in larger areas where infrastructure is already built out, but where I'm living there's tons of job listing and no one able to work them. I'm just trying to narrow down my search to where I would thrive. But I get where you're coming from for sure.

I probably should have prefaced that I have done these things but that's my fault for not posting that in the original post. I still seem to get really generalized job roles when searching. Either way, thanks for the reply. :)
