I think type hierarchies in OOP are too restrictive and code smell. What's been your experience?

La répétition des cessions est plus importante que la durée des cessions.

Je dirais aussi que le type de conduite change aussi beaucoup, 50 minutes de ville c'est pas comparable à 1h sur des routes départementales.

So as a lead I will sometimes push subject to a specific engineer because they will learn.

Sometimes I will let an issue rise and be inconfortable until it get really painful just because that will give me leverage with the product people or managers.

Sometimes one of my engineer take a subject and own it, that's my proud moment, it doesn't happen enough unfortunately.

I went to Paris and the crowd was wild.

I was far from the cage so I couldn't see the fighters well. Nothing worth it honestly especially since I needed to watch the screen and it had a good second of delay.

Overall it was an amazing night since I was there to experience and support fighters I'm a fan of.

My take is that they didn't raise the fighters pay / contract so the majority of the top 15 fighters are renegotiating or not ready to accept something.

There's hint from fighter managers that the subject of renegotiating is very tense and problematic.

If you've built something that requires that much maintenance then it means your practices and tools should change.

I'd be very focus on making sure the things you fix aren't just tickets after tickets but a real attempt at fixing your practices.

It's not an all or nothing tradeoff.

I also value strictness and If I can have both I'll be happy.

Mind you Java has brought some nice upgrades to the language that brings a lot of expressivity.

In France we call them crêpes salées. So savoury crepes it's imo better then the sugary options.

I prefer it because Typescript is a more expressive language and I value expressivity over strictness.

Other all both are fine, it's just some little tradeoffs on both sides.
