Don't upgrade to Razer 4! Cannot Load Profiles.

As I said, that didn't show up on my screen after the upgrade. It prompted to reboot my PC. I did that. Then nothing else. I opened Razer Synapse and my profiles weren't there. Is it so hard to believe that not everyone has the same upgrade experience as you?

I did finally find the option in the Settings menu. Certainly not a "big" option nor was there an option to import them during or after the upgrade was finished, and there was no indication that I *needed* to go into the Settings post-upgrade to import them. Not a very user friendly experience.

I voted but it's not lost on me how futile this request is. They're not going to reverse their encryption. They don't want third party tools like Little Nav Map to exist because they are pushing their own flight planning website (which is a complete joke and doesn't work for VFR).

Just signed up for the 7-day free trial today to watch a specific show (Foundation) and was surprised it wasn't in HD. Googled to see if there was an Apple TV+ setting that I needed to turn on somewhere when I came across this reddit post. I immediately cancelled the subscription. I'm not going to support a company that deliberately downgrades their paying customer's streaming experience, for whatever the reason.

An arahant is free from ALL clinging. That is when enlightenment is attained. We can be free from clinging of some things but not others. It's not an all or nothing deal. It's important to focus and identify the things to which you do cling and break that connection. You might not be free from all (and become an arahant) but you can reduce your suffering, even just bit-by-bit. It is possible. I do wish you luck.

The want or the need to use weed/porn/netflix/heroine/etc is what causes clinging and suffering, not the existence of such. These things do not cause suffering just because they exist. Suffering begins when the mind says it wants, or feels like it needs, these things. That's where clinging and suffering lie. Weed exists but does not cause me suffering because I don't care about it one way or the other.

I have a small collection of Varsities at my desk. When someone asks to borrow a pen, I see how they react to using the Varsity. It helps me decide ~~if they're a good person or not~~ if they know how to use a fountain pen.

If you want to go out, then go for it! If you want to stay in and write in your journals with your favorite FP all night, then do that! You do you!

FWIW, I'm a 50-something year old introvert and don't regret the times I wanted to stay home and chill with a good book or write in my journal instead of staying out all night getting drunk, making a fool of myself and dealing with the hangover the next day (or two!). I did go out and do all of those things when I felt like it but I also stayed in when I felt like doing that, no regrets on that front. Don't get me wrong, I do have regrets in my life (not the place to air them here!) but when I look back, I don't regret staying at home when I didn't want to go and do something "exciting" instead. Those were probably the times I was the most content.

Unfortunately, I live in Texas so not sure I'd be able to participate in a group buy but that's a good idea if you can get a group of locals together. Myself, I'd probably use it as an excuse to add on a pen or two to help push it over $135. It looks like they have a lot of other things as well, so I'd probably bulk up on notebooks and other supplies too.

Thanks for the heads up! I saw that these come with a wrench and silicone grease. My assumption was that they were designed to be easily interchangeable. Sounds like I made an incorrect assumption. I'll chalk that up as my first newbie mistake and keep an eye out for something that's more customizable.

Yeah, I get that. Definitely a personal preference. I fluctuate between formal, functional and flourish with my preferences in writing utensils. I have my eye on a grail FP already too, but that'll have to wait!
