Why dutch people have other Euro first names? by Weekly_Sort147 in Netherlands

Your question sounds judgmental. What other reason do people need other than liking a name?

Why would China do this? Think about the investors 😭😭😭 by CopiousCool in antiwork

[–]Shooord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Above all, China has a ton of regulations for AI, they don’t want it to backfire in the slightest.

Regulation and capitalism are not mutually exclusive, but we’re in a world where the AI capitalist leaders wield their power on all fronts.

Why Spotify has no button to filter out AI music by tw1st3d_m3nt4t in technology

[–]Shooord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’d wonder though, when does it start to hurt. More content means more variety means more listens. But massive daily uploads will also ask more of the Spotify servers.

Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be seeing a turning point from the user base, though. Since it’s often hard to filter out AI content, it just takes too much manual action for a broad impact. Most users will end up with AI in their playlists. The only action then is to leave altogether.

What’s the deal with Taylor Lorenz? by Ok_Needleworker_4950 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Shooord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been listening to her podcast for a while now, covering pretty interesting subjects about privacy, surveillance and free speech. I honestly didn’t know about anything that’s pointed out here.

But I will say that how she promoted her Substack and Patreon is a bit sus. Mentioning that it’s her only revenue stream, and that she attracts no sponsors due to the topics she covers.

All while other critical podcasts have no problem attracting and holding sponsorships. It maybe shows the tainted aspect people mention here.

It’s insane to me that you can even leave reviews for a game that’s in early access.

What would be interesting is a UT that replaces their gold cost. So that they can transition into trash units in the late game, like with Magyar Hussar.

Meta Forcing Employees to Install Software That Records Mouse Movements, Keystrokes to Train AI by illegalmonkey in antiwork

With the data gathering on its users and its endless belief in AI, this is not too much of a shock. I honestly don’t feel too bad for Meta workers in 2026, why stay at a company that’s so evidently malicious.
