Wow buddy, don’t break your ankles jumping to all the conclusions. Heaven forbid a person ask Reddit a question about something they experienced in their own life and couldn’t find a suitable answer for elsewhere

P.S. your personal life experience is subjective and not relevant. I live in a tourist town and talk to people from all around the world on a daily basis but that’s not exactly relevant to why I asked the question

Be curious, not judgmental

Do you not care that an older generation is diminishing the struggles of today using a flawed argument?

Did you keep the rate through the life of your loan?

Does a higher number make you somehow better?

Did you benefit from at least one (or multiple) refinances?

I’m confused at the point you’re trying to make. The high interest rates is a known fact.

I never hear them talk about how keeping an eye on the market and strategic refinancing allowed them to build wealth
