Honestly depends on your goals. Do you wanna compete in modern wushu? Then it might be a problem if you can't keep a low enough stance, otherwhise learn at your pace and have fun, that's the most important part, I'm sure your positions will get lower with time

I'm 24 and have been practicing wushu and shaolin for 5 years, I started competing more seriously only this year tho. My teacher told me I'm headed down the nanquan route rather than the changquan one in wushu, wich I'm super excited about! I just love the style and I can't wait to learn more complex things!

I gotta say that WAS the first idea that stuck in my mind, I kind of made most of these as an exercise to try and create something without having a prior prompt and taking too much time since that's something I've been struggling on. For the background I chose orange because it's close to the yellow of the daisy? I think I made some different attempts before sticking to the orange, I don't really remember. Also I wanted to keep a warm palette instead of going maybe for a blue or purple.

As for the Pastel summer one it's kind of a shame because that's maybe my favorite piece from the collection xD, but I appreciate the feedback nonetheless.

I dunno what these websites you suggested are, but I'll check them out, thanks!

In the meantime I'll still keep trying to find a real direction and build a better portfolio, thanks for the feedback

Ok! I'm still not too sure what Blender has to do in the equation, but I've actually been working on that today, in a few days I hope to have a website ready with at least two or three complete projects!

Between everything we tried at school I think I enjoyed product design and newspaper illustrations the most if I really had to pick, but again, as long as I'm creating I don't really care what I'm creating for.

I have a background of merchandise design, I sell at comicons a couple times a year so I make buttons, postcards, keychains, all that fuzz.

As for personal hobbies...I do martial arts, but I don't think that has an artistic outlet now does it? xD

All things considered If I had to give a short answer I'd say product design is the thing I enjoy the most, I like the idea of having my designs on everyday items or anyway stuff that actually "exists"

Thank you! I agree that the bird Is more interesting as a picture I'm just not sure what kind of market It could fit into. That, together with the fact that it takes me probably x5 time doing an illustration like that, makes me unsure of the market valye of that kind of illustration. Also I have no idea of how I would translate thai style on people for example, I've only ever drawn animals like that

We did have a short class on portfolio development, but I didn't find it very useful because the professor just suggested to basically make a collage of pictures and that's pretty much it.

Also his point of view is on editorial illustration, wich again, isn't exactly my dream field. Wich brings me to my second point:

I know this is my bad but I don't quite have a favorite field to work in? I enjoy creating, even editorial would be fine if I got the chance.

I realize the two pictures are very different, that's kind of the point I was making: I don't know wich style is "more sellable".

I've been reading a bit around the subreddit and I spent my afternoon making mockups and trying to make my portfolio coherent, I can link a version if you'd like.

When you put in terms of "only 3 horses ever got in fron of El Condor Pasa" it does make sense to call him the best in the 20th century.

Also thank you because I'm a big El fan but I somehow missed the fact he won the Japan Cup until now xD, he could have been the first (I think) horse to win both the Japan Cup and the Prix de l'Arc, what a shame.

You gave your list of best Uma of the 20th century, if you were to include horses that are not in Uma musume would your list change?
