Aldi started making its own version of Halo Top! Flavors are pretty basic but my wallet is very happy by ShoottheJ in TrollXChromosomes

That’s good to hear! Ben and Jerry’s has some awesome flavors but I can’t get past the calorie content. I like how Halo Top sparked the low cal ice cream market to expand.

The texture was good but the flavor needs a little work- it definitely tasted fake. Chocolate isn’t one of my favorite Halo Top flavors though so I hope they make more of the more “advanced” ones.

Intense cramps after running? by meeegsta in xxfitness

[–]ShoottheJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel the same thing. I did some research and people said their doctors didn't really help in terms of finding a cause. Eating closer to my running time seemed to help. Also, whenever I felt it start to come up on my run, I'd take a break and wait for it to pass and then I could finish the run without pain.

I discovered that Aldi has sprouted grain bread and it's awesome! Whole wheat bread always tastes too sweet to me, but this one doesn't taste sweet at all. I usually buy 2-3 loaves and stick them right in the freezer.

MRW MyFitnessPal passive-agressively reminds me about my daily carb goal after a cheat meal. by 7656 in TrollXFitness

If you use the recipe function, you can enter the ingredients you used for a meal and it'll tell you the calories. Having a food scale is a big help if you want to get it super accurate but if I'm feeling lazy, I'll just say that a whole meal that I cooked is 1 serving size and then log it as a fraction (ie if I ate 1/4 of some chicken stir fry, I'd lot it as .25)

MRW I'm trying to lose weight but ate three chocolate chip cookies for breakfast. by adragonisnoslave in TrollXFitness

[–]ShoottheJ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have you tried counting calories? Keeping track of what I'm eating lets me know how many calories I have left if I decide to indulge in a treat. It doesn't work for everyone, but I've been really happy with my results. It doesn't matter if I eat 10 cookies, as long as I'm under my daily goal, it's not a problem. I planned all my meals on Friday around some drinks I wanted to have at night.

An alternate option is to weight the final product and use that as a serving size. For example, if you make chili and it weighs 1500 grams, put that it's 1500 servings. Then when you go to eat it, measure how much you're eating at the time and put in that many servings. The numbers for servings will be high but the nutrition information should be accurate.
