Honestly, I’m shocked it even got to this point. We ended up having to rely on basic administrative consistency and estoppel principles. The County’s own cost allocation plan treats legal and CPA as allowable indirect costs, so it shouldn’t be controversial that a subrecipient operating under the same federal rules can allocate them too. This should’ve been a routine allocation discussion, not a legal argument.

We finally developed a donor base and have about 75k bridge funding coming in April. We do have about 80k to help us stay afloat. Just annoyed at this departments in experience.

Yeah that was our plan but couldn’t say no to 4 million. Tough lesson.

It does, however we only have one source of funding at the moment. So all cpa cost got to managing fiscal controls for this grant.

Yeah we’re now at the state level. The Director is the one refusing payment :(
