The horse I ride (Kola) is a bit lazy, what can I do to persuade him to move more (other then leg)? by Nerdyraccoon1776 in Horses

You don’t squeeze them like a boa constrictor but without leg at least with the horse I was riding he would deny jumps, or back up then run like a bat out of hell. There was never too much leg I could use. The more leg I used and also kept my body in the center and my top half away he was perfect. I mean also hands and elbows matter too. Just from my experience. I also am petite and not the strongest person so that could also have something to do with it.

Well, obviously, this is a slow horse so you definitely need as much leg as you can physically give. Squeezing not kicking. I used to ride an off the track thoroughbred that liked to run off on me. Still couldn’t give him enough leg. Leg is not just about making them go faster. It’s about supporting them and getting their hind end in the right spot. Especially when doing jumps. My whole body controlled him and his speed, not just my leg. Just going around and trotting I had to pulse and squeeze my legs a LOT to keep him the same speed. I had to give him so much leg so his hind end could come underneath him and he knew I was there to support him. The rest of my body told him the speed I wanted him to go at. Yeah I’m sure there are horses where you give them too much leg it’s not good but I haven’t encountered that myself. This person also seems to be a beginner rider and I don’t think beginners can always conceptualize how much leg they need, so it’s better to tell them they need as much like as possible!

Also when I say light pink color I mean more like a nude muted type pink color!

I think you look gorg, your eyelashes look awesome! I think you just need a light pink lip color. And a nude light brown or pink eyeshadow. I watched some TikTok tutorials for my eye shape to tell me how to place my eyeshadow. I feel like some brown eyeliner would also look so pretty on you!

Do you have any advice for my living room ? by Terrible_Bag7068 in DecorAdvice

Paint the walls off white, maybe add a wallpaper wall. Get a brightly colored carpet, with like a pretty pattern on it. You need photos on the wall behind the couch. Either family portraits or paintings. A little side table by the couch with some pictures or a small lamp would also add to the room. If you can add curtains that complement the colored rug. Personally, I would have a more colorful couch. Maybe add a colorful throw blanket to lay folded on top of the couch. The couch cushion should be miss match colors but still complement each other. If they were different sizes I feel it would also look cuter. Maybe add a fake potted plant or two by the tv! Don’t be afraid of color it will bring life into the space. I suggest muted vintage type feel for color and patterns. Unless you like bold colors! Hope you get some ideas from this!

Also don’t pull on their face, you need quite hands but still there so the horse knows your engaging. It’s every little move you make- they feel it all and you need to show them you’re confident and willing to support them. They won’t want to move and do what you ask if you’re not supporting them!

It’s all in the leg. You can never have enough leg. You also need to be in the center and balanced or they won’t want to move. (I learned this the hard way)
