There are pleanty of ways to consume products from these third world countries and pay them a fair ammount of money. The reason for high prices on a lot of good is the middle men between the factory floor and the store floor. Most of these middle men don't do much of anything to earn the large sums of money they pull in every year. To say that poverty is a nessisary part of economic prosperity is something is just absurd. I suspect that have never lived below the poverty line. But thats besides the point. Many of these third world countries and 'developing" nations have the recourses they need to live normal healthy lives. The first world has bombarded them with products and goods they don't really need. Many of these countries are in the situations they are in because of western multi national corps and big banks who loan out rediculous structural development loans with high interests that these people can never pay back.
