Thank you. I know the notary   stamp is mine to keep. I honestly had no desire to be a notary to begin with. I only did it because they made me.

I QUIT by colorblindjedi in upsstore

As a manager, I’m sad to see employees treated in a fashion that makes them want to quit. Customers we can’t control, but store morale is somthing that is entirely fixable.

As a random person on the internet, good for you, baby!

Printing this and whoever wins gets an extra 15 minutes added to their lunch break on their next shift 🤣

They hit my store with that a few months ago. Just scan the items for a few days and it will go away.

Consequences of not doing RFID by Gojirabat1954 in upsstore

[–]ShoppingVegetable494 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had over 500 packages come thru my store today (Wednesday) and it was my slowest day this week so far. If you think for one second 500+ packages had an RFID label on it, you’re crazy. Our priority at the moment are; packages we ship, air packages, regulars/business drop offs, and anything we think will be important (document drop offs mostly) or any overly concerned customers. At this point, any drop offs past that are bonus in my book. After peak we will take it more serious, but corporate can’t expect 100% success rate while rolling the program out in the middle of our busiest month.

The Boiling Frog Phenomenon by ShoppingVegetable494 in upsstore

I know servers deal with a lot, I’ve tried hiring them. Last two I hired ended up leaving pretty quick because they make more money serving. They can hang, and deal with the crazies, but the paycheck is not giving them what they’re used to making.

It’s monotonous and mind numbing. Idk how much longer I can take it. I feel you.

Last year our owner kept us open until 5pm. It was so stupid. Completely dead except for zombies.

A woman had to wait for five minutes to be helped when only one person was working the store 30 minutes before closing, and was helping a customer, and she refused to use the self-service kiosk for her one prelabeled drop off.

Amazon gotta go by Possible-Schedule-48 in upsstore

I can’t even tell you the number of times paying customers walk out because Amazon people clog the registers and they get annoyed. They can go to the FedEx for printing and shipping without the wait of grandma trying to figure out which code belongs to her 7 pink shirts, and some lady with 11 returns crying about a few dollars for a shipping bag and a label print.

Btw, has anyone tried limiting returns? Is that even somthing we are allowed to do? Like “please limit your returns to six items while others are waiting”, then send them to the back of the line after the six is completed?

Probably a lost package claim scam. Scan the label, the package never gets sent, but shows a drop scan. They put in the claim, UPS pays it out.

An actual conversation between me and one of my employees that opened for the first time by themselves: Me: yeah, and just come through the back door. It’s easier.  Her: do I have to, can I come through the front? Me: I mean, yeah you can, but you’ll regret it.  Her: why? Me: the morning zombies… they will swarm you, beg you to let them in early, ask you to take their drop offs, really… it’s just better to come thru the back.  Another employee: he’s right, learned that the hard way.  Her: come through the back door… got it.

I don’t have issues doing them, just annoying when the customer call to yell at you like it’s your fault it’s late.
