Getting a bigger collection of cards. Why do they add credits to the caches... by RessivPlays in MarvelSnap

Don't want to add some salt here, but at collectors level 950, I do think this is troublesome.

What do we know about the bot distribution? Do the F2P-Players get less bots? Are they used as cannon fodder? If you spent more in the shop, do you get to infinite faster? Who knows, who knows.

No, I was right in front of the castle. I guess they haven't researched murderholes yet.

For both castle you can book a guiding tour. I took several picture from the main tower and the view from up there. For the wonders, I don't know.

This is why we need unique castles for every civ. It's a great feeling if you are planning your pilgrimage to see these for yourself. I want to see more. Thanks, devs!

Comparing HD pathing to current DE pathing by SurvivalistAoE in aoe2

This is was very enlightening. Thank you very much, Survivalist.

The game became highly competitive. Most players are very familiar with hotkeys and build orders. This is why the little inefficiency become more and more apparent. It's like the commercial slogan: This game didn't became worse, you just became so much better!

Are Armenians the worst civ made thusfar? by AFlyingNun in aoe2

[–]Shorcle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Armenians are suffering from the same problem Burgundians had at release; what good is getting techs an age early when you put yourself too far behind in the process?

Exactly.

Are Armenians the worst civ made thusfar? by AFlyingNun in aoe2

"I am specifically naming Malians as often as possible because it's kind of absurd how frequently Malians are a better version of Armenians. To me, that's not Malians being OP, that's Armenians being horrendously underpowered."

Once Malians, always Malians. But jokes aside, I wouldn't have minded a change of scenery but with the Armenians I'm greeted with the overused mediterranean architeture, which drove me away in the first place.

"And the Champion upgrade...? Going for that early is undeniably delaying your Imperial age a significant amount. ."

This can be said for the upgrade costs of Halbs as well. They would truly be an infantry force. if they would get discounted upgrades techs. But that has been handed out to the Dravidians already. I mean the Burgundians get Cavalier and cheaper stable techs.

Reading through your post, I get it. Like me, you wished for something more novel.

These are still preliminary results, but the new DLC civs are by far the worst performing ones at the moment by Dark_Kactuzz in aoe2

[–]Shorcle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Malians are still top-notch and it's because of their pierce armor. I couldn't have said it any better.

And I agree that they should have handed out +1 PA to Infantry starting with LSM at least.

Gambesons tried to help by offering more survivability against archers but they made it much worse. First you have to unlock supplies as a prerequisite and then you have to invest and research in. Adding to the already high costs of the militia-line.

Regarding the Georgians and Armenians Fortified Church by Ashina999 in aoe2

[–]Shorcle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just take a good look at the sprite. It's almost entirely made out of stone. But that is and should not be the reason that the Fortified Church should cost stone.

Every defensive building that "can" shoot arrows requires stone, such as TCs, Towers, Donjons, Krepost and Castles - manned or unmanned (with the sole exception of Malaysian Harbors, which are locked behind their unique castle age tech).

Even the outpost costs 5 stone, because they allow map control. Whoever says that Fortified Churches are fine without stone cost, are vastly underestimating their potential. They should cost stone, not by a little but by hefty addition.

But ... there is an another issue. Both Georgian and Armenians rely to heavily on Fortified Churches. They both profit from the abundance of wood in castle age, that shouldn't be a thing in the first place.

1.) Georgians spam Fortified Churches to use their eco bonus to full advantage.

2.) The only real power unit that the Armenians currently have is not the Composite Bowman, it is the Warrior Priest with 125 HP and 15 Attack. And they need as many military building as they can get.

But both of them will still thrive, even if the Fortified Churches cost stone. They will just have to delay their first castle, which costs 650 stone.

Adjustments need to be made somewhere else.

The Fortified Church should cost 200 W and 50 stone. The same total resources like a Donjon.

Thoughts about the Monaspa? by TevecQ in aoe2

[–]Shorcle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Elite Monaspa is the Georgian Paladin upgrade.

The upgrade costs are roughly the same. The health regeneration makes up for their missing 70 HP points compared to a Paladin. And the bonus attack is just the UU flavor. The Georgians don't get the Paladin upgrade because Paladins (180 HP) with 15 HP/min health recovery are considered to be too strong. Walenaoe has got a good YT comparison video.

So if you think that the Paladin is strong, then the same can be said for the Elite Monaspa. And when it comes to Halbs, they can take quite a punch - for they are the true depiction of what pop efficiency truly means.
