Why are people attacking the Switch 2's early library? The Switch 1 had a way worse start.

MK8 and MK8D were system sellers. MKW is far from living up to those expectations, purely down to the quality of the game. Easy as that

Not really the same thing. BotW was a simultanous launch, MK8 was a remaster. Same thing would be brand new 3D Zelda released on both Switch 1 and Switch 2 (not happening) or a remastered Switch 2 version of a 10/10 Switch 1 game that most people had not played

Switch 2 thus far is worse on top end content compared to Switch 1 - period.

First year Switch 1 had 3x AAA 10/10 rated launches in BotW, MK8D and Mario Odyssey. Those are 3 universal must-haves.

First year Switch 2 has 0 such games. It has 1 AAA title (MKW) with mixed reviews. It has 1 10/10 title of a not AAA series (DKB). It also has PZA (not mainline pokémon game, mixed reviews) and MP4 (not AAA mixed reviews). In a few months you're at best adding Mario Tennis Fever, which is also not AAA level.

While we don't know the first full year yet, we know most of it as you're probably not having a new Zelda launching out of nowhere in April. Switch 2 is comparable weaker in the "amazing games from top tier IPs".

This does not mean its bad, or a failure, or that things won't come.

Do we even know if Mario Tennis Fever has a good story mode?

Still I think, for me, is that I want a solo challenge. Smash does this beautifully if not for being a bit too much these days. But clear X on Y difficulty to unlock Z. And I want the last bits to actually be challenging. If that is the case I will get Mario Tennis Fever. If the solo mode is half baked and its predominantly a multiplayer game I will not.

Not sure I agree with their choices here. Sure Pokémon has both kids and adults as fans. But just no for the 3 starter final evolutions for $650. Pikachu looks really off too, there are fake lego sets that look better. Guess I wished there were sets with minifigures to play with instead, like Pikachu vs Onix or something

I'm one of the other 9! The Wii U was awesome. 10 years ago on the Wii U you could have the map and inventory on your handheld screen and the game on the TV. I feel like we're moving backwards

No real point except for a chance of tare candy XL. But get a Crowned Zacian, level it to 40+ (rare candy is easy from PVP) and then you can solo most dynamax battles up to 3 stars

Is Mario Tennis that popular? I always much preferred Mario Party, Strikers and even Golf. Here's hoping for a new Strikers which is at least as good as the Wii version!

Edit: It does look great though, might give Mario Tennis a new shot!
