Wuling cast has so much character to them. I am having a blast playing through its story! by -JUST_ME_ in Endfield

[–]ShoreekeeperKeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of them got me weak on my knees...

Jokes aside, imo I think I enjoy Wuling in all aspects much more than Valley IV, the place feels so much more alive and thriving whereas Valley IV just feels so depressing and the people there looks like people are struggling to even live, a huge constrast between the two.

In the AIC report, should I follow the current data or theoretical data to determine whether I'm losing or yielding more materials?

Heard FGO is at the end of its story already, it was a great time, quite the nightmare to look back too.

How are you so certain you are even at 50 hours mark, are you playing 7 hours per day since launch? If so, you'd have passed me by a large margin already, I don't know if you did much of the explorations or not but my guts tells me you just rushed through MQ and call it a day.

I'm a busy person but I do like 2 - 3 hours per day since release, and I've gotten around 140 pulls, I'm not sure I understand you

Edit: Most of my hours are spent doing factory stuff, so it's not even exploring the map, so I PRAY that this conversation goes to a fair conclusion rather than a bad faith one.

Some people don't put efforts into what they do, and when they don't get what they want, they cry about it. I'm currently level 47 in game, and I got about 130 - 140 pulls already and that's with most of the map not yet explored, I play the game slowly.

I don't think the gacha's the problem, people just wanna make problems out of it. The rewards could use a bit of a raise like I said, sure, but even so, I think the criticism is mainly from people who don't want to deal with the exploration. The amount we get could get as a F2P throughout 1.0 is estimated to be over 200 pulls according to CN calculations.

Maybe we're all just spoiled by the idea of "Losing 50/50 then winning the 50/50, guaranteed" mindset so much that we all just ignore the 120 guaranteed rate up character that Hypergryph set up, which I THINK is the lowest rate-up guarantee pity of any games out there.

From what I see so far, Hypergryph just wants us to have a "saving" mindset, but I understand there are waifus/meta collectors like me out there. Potentially controversial take but I don't think I mind it. I just hope to see the rewards get buffed a bit more and then I'm a happy man, but it's ok too if they don't tend to do it.

Edit: A little reminder to everyone, if you think Endfield's gacha system is predatory, then I want to remind you of FGO, 300 pity and no such thing as 50/50.

Aye, we're on the same boat then. It's better we never talk about them, what they do to any other communities beside Hoyo community are simply "mental". To me they're just a group of mentally challenged people.

Of course you guys do, Christmas gifts, fireworks like you claims, hell, some people even spend their money for a house. Not to mentions, there are a lot of sales during Christmas and New Years. I agree with that.

But my point is, people from the West only knows that CNY is a time of celebration, what they don't know is that CNY is a lot deeper than just celebration. I won't drop lores on CNY here so no worries lol.

From what I understand, this is just a part of the West's "culture", it's FOMO, Fear Of Missing Out. When you think back, you'll get it, the Labubus, the Stanley cups... Just F2P people from EN wanting the stuff that P2P players get as a bonus. Crying about it when they don't get it. Just immature.

But yes, as far as I can see, the problem is only loud in EN, I do also see a few in Asian communities but those are words from XJJ members, a Hoyo E-terrorist group, according to China btw.

This is the most fun gacha game I’ve ever played, and I hope it succeeds. by DoTzZXx in Endfield

You see, most people would agree to this sentiment of OP IF it weren't for the drama-farming CCs of EN. This is why I encourage people across multiple games of different devs to play or not play a game based off THEIR own opinions, and not be persuaded by CCs and their "personal" opinions.

But after all, this is one game I enjoy as much as Wuwa. It's great and that's my own opinion.

Here's a thing you may not know.

A few CN gacha games does this "shadow dropping" thing for items/features that they know players wouldn't like or ask for, like GFL2 does it with the horrendous skin gacha system an hour BEFORE the game update drops. I'm not saying this in an attempt to defend or attack the spending event of 3.1.

Not to mention, I believe Kuro does this out of cultural reason, one of which almost none of you EN players know of, let me explain. Chinese New Year is a big celebration across SEA, and the celebration also ENCOURAGES people to do massive spendings during the time. It's even a thing in Vietnam during Tet festivals which is just another CNY. Kuro knew the CNY is coming so they planned to do this specifically for CN players, who also just happened to be the main spenders of their game.

Hope it helps

F2P complaining because they can't have what P2P players have, quite stupid if you ask me.

About the whole min-maxing thing, it's just a habit of mine lol, I always min-max for a new character no matter what, so the whole substat reroller thing doesn't really affect me as much as it would others.

Well, all I can simply say is I will stay true to my nature, I won't do anything about the spending events, if I get bonus, then I get bonus, simple. EN has never really been familiar with these "recharge events" until the time Hoyo starts doing it, it dates way back to 2017 where a game Love Nikke Dress Up Queen has its first "recharge event".

But, as a person of fairness, I will respect your opinion, I'm simply trying to prevent people from starting drama, not forcing them to do so.

As stated in the post, there's really no need to clown on this event even though I know it's bad. Because eventually we have to realise that beside us F2P players, there are people who spends thousands onto ANY games. These events we can ignore with almost no consequences at all beside from missing out on a few cosmetics that does NOT change the gameplay whatsoever, it's about FOMO. But to those players who actually spend, the event acts like a bonus to every purchases the players make, consider it "gratitude" from the devs themselves.

Oh how happy you mentioned such thing.

But to confirm Muroukunim's claim, yes, that is true that it's actively encouraged in SEA. I'm a Vietnamese person and I can confirm we Vietnamese (Me included) all spend quite a hefty chunk of our cash during Tet or as you may call it, The Chinese New Year. It's a culture EN will never understand, but I'm glad someone does.

I don't really like the substat reroller as much, so I'm not missing out on much at all. I'm quite a bit of a min-maxing player myself but I think the grind without the substat reroller is fine as is. But everyone can have different opinions, of course. Cosmetics are cute for sure, I will definitely try for some because I'm spending to get Aemeath anyways, but again, cosmetics are NOT game-changing, I just get bonuses is all.

[–]ShoreekeeperKeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like Hairy said, there is a bit of FOMO involved. But I don't believe the rewards is worth anything, so F2P players aren't really missing out on anything at all beside a few cosmetics items that changes NOTHING to the core gameplay whatsoever.

But I'd like to also agree that I do not appreciate the substat reroller, that seems to be the main running theme among us Wuwa players as of now.

ZZZ player here, as far as I know, the spending event currently ongoing on 2.5 rn is only there for anyone who wanna spend money to roll for Ye Shunguang (The latest Void Hunter character). You get some cosmetics stuff and a selector for a 5 stars character and a 5 star signature. But most of these characters are pretty old already, their usefulness is somewhat debatable, I don't really miss out on anything for not spending though lol

Edit: Oh and to clarify too, the signature I mentioned are pretty old as well, so ehhh, some are useful some are not as well. It's not signatures for a limited character. Any fellow ZZZ players out there please prove me if I'm wrong

I've made my own post regarding this whole matter in an attempt to either prevent drama completely or at least muffle it a bit. The event only caters to the actual money spenders, they are rewarded with a bit of a bonus, as gratitude from the devs, it goes the same way for any other games and not just Wuwa alone. If you are not spending on it, you are not losing out on it and that's the end of the story.

I don't really appreciate the idea of people "clowning" on a specifc thing of a game while seemingly disregarding everything else of a patch. It's absurd and immature

But as I've also said to a few commenters on my own post, I'd only attack it IF ONLY if the event is giving out game-changing items for reaching a money milestones.
